Guys, again thanks for all the support in my run for the Board, came up a little short, but after talking with some people I have decided to give it one more try. But we need to know a few things. with the petition process being easier and electronic now, I expect a larger number of people to try. Since you don't have to shlep petitions around and print them out and get actual signatures, people who thought the old process to demanding or difficult may try since now it's just point and click.

The NRA by laws say that no more then 5 people from a single state can run by petition. The 5 with the highest total number of signatures will be on the ballot if there are more than 5 filing the required number of signatures.

The rules to sign remain the same -- life member or annual member with more than 5 consecutive years of membership

My goals remain the same

1. If we could find $200,000,000 for the brewer law firm, we can find more money for litigation for more law suits

2. developing a legal strategy that is 3 Demensional in nature that builds a lasting set of precedents not just flash in the pan suits tailored for press releases

3. bringing more resources to blue states to help gun owners behind enemy lines

4. having a bare knuckled approach to campaigns, especially in blue states so that politicians think twice before attacking our rights.

5. having ILA work with state and local groups and not under cut them and be  uncompromising on the 2A

The NRA can be the 800 # gorilla in the room. they alone have the budget and resources to do it. But to do it, they need people who are ready for a street fight -- in the legislatures, in the elections and in the courts. That's what I'm trying to do.

So please click on the link and if you are a qualified NRA voter please sign my petition for the 2026 NRA Board election

I do not believe your membership level allows voting rights.

The only way I see this happening is some REAL consequences for infringing. Civil suits, possibly criminal suits, maybe even a RICO of these legislators & judges working against their oaths. Anything short of that is a never ending game of whack-a-mole where Bruen is used as toilet paper.

Anyway, good luck in your election.

thanks all, the neat thing is it keeps track of the numbers. So we'll see how we progress.

If you think you have been denied in error, contact the secretary's office at NRA

According to the OP, Todd has a line that says: "The rules to sign remain the same -- life member or annual member with more than 5 consecutive years of membership".

So you SHOULD  be able to vote.

Todd, signed and done.  Trying to "sign" that signature with a mouse was real fun*barf*

Just tried again and it worked fine. So, I'm in and done.

This is one of the many things I abhor about the NRA.....seems like everything connected to them is a PITA to navigate. The only reason I still belong is that membership is required to belong to the top end rifle club here locally. Otherwise, I'd have ceased to belong to the NRA years ago. The organization needs (desperately) people like Todd who have integrity and the ability to "get it done" the right way. Like sending seemingly endless prompts to re up my membership insinuating that my membership is about to lapse when, in fact, I *just* paid my membership dues and have months to go before I need to be reminded (harassed) to get it done.

Gimme a break - fix the NRA. It's broken.

And there's a reason why clubs have that kind of requirement.
