Senate Amendment 2 was filed on HB4144 this afternoon, proposing to add gun confiscation language to Illinois' red flag law.   The amendment, if it becomes law, requires the courts to issue a search warrant when requested by law enforcement, leading to the seizure of guns, ammunition, and parts.  The subject of the order would have no opportunity to present his or her side to the judge,and would only later be allowed to request their rights be restored.

 

Please contact your legislators, particularly your State Senators, immediately.  Tell them that you do not support gun confiscation and they shouldn't either.

You might be looking at the witness slips for the subject matter, not HB4144 SFA2.

I filed mine using the ISRA Link. IL Anti-Gunners don't GAF, they'll pass it anyway. IL is trying to becomes a socialist state inside of the U.S. Want to know what Socialism is like, move to IL...

Illinois is akin to the Bavarian Socialist Republic.  Ok, let's hope we soon get a REAL "Justice" Department, and it puts a stop to these Marxists wiping their rears with the Bill of Rights.  They don't have sovereign immunity from committing acts they are not authorized to in the performance of the duties of their offices, so start holding these criminals accountable!

This is same monkeys throwing feces on the wall nonsense they pulled with PICA.  The original bill has to do with sending notifications when a broken fire hydrant is to be repaired. They slipped this garbage amendment in hoping no one would notice.  

 

We did, so I'm sure now they'll pull the guilt trip of "you're against fire safety if you vote against this bill!  Think of the children?!"

too long a list find mine when it passed with 1259 opposed to a few for. Like I always call out.... everygun range "MUST" sign up ISRA members to use the ranges, otherwise there will be none to go to.

I have often wondered HOW the average Joe can help ICE when they come to Illinois.

How can we volunteer to assist ICE when they come to Illinois?

Since it's a House bill that was amended in the Senate, it will be sent back to the House to see if they concur on the change.  So yeah, sort of on it's way to becoming law with a step or two to finish up first.

Slips are done. I called my Senator during PICA and although the staff listened, they felt almost hostile about my stance. As always, I remained 100% civil and respectful, but a call is a complete waste of time with the folks who allegedly represent our area. Thanks for the updates as always. In this state, nothing they do after passing the pile of trash PICA into law surprises me.
