Dieter Posted July 28, 2024 at 04:01 AM Share Posted July 28, 2024 at 04:01 AM I am looking for an OWB holster that is mostly or completely covered that will slide onto a belt. Im not interested in a Sneaky Pete but more like a old luger holster. I do carry a modern pistol when I am on my rural property and even with a shirt over it, it does get pretty filthy. Thanks, D

Dieter Posted July 28, 2024 at 04:57 AM Author Share Posted July 28, 2024 at 04:57 AM Perhaps like a snap, maybe a buckle? Not necessarily looking for a easy quickdraw.

Smallbore Posted July 29, 2024 at 02:16 PM Share Posted July 29, 2024 at 02:16 PM To keep a gun from getting filthy will require a complete enclosure like a fanny pack. A fanny pack is a pain in close environment. Any standard holster will require nightly gun cleaning. I am curious as to what others will suggest. MagSlap Posted July 29, 2024 at 02:26 PM Share Posted July 29, 2024 at 02:26 PM I would suggest a good leather holster...(but thats just me..and my preference)... Yet having said that... you say you are out on your property and can get dirty... Kydex is what you seek... Which kydex holster? I couldnt make a suggestion among the 18 gagizillion makers/options out there. Suffice to say... no need to pay a fortune if you are willing to heat/smooth some edges, and/or heat to conform a tad better. (Not worth it to me for 'premium kydex') Yes..I have a few kydex holsters... and a lil post touching up/fitting with a heat gun doesnt bother me. Not a bad idea with the fanny pack, no one will see me right? Maybe some type that slides onto a belt? Not looking for another belt besides the one I already have D

In the summer it us quick and easy to strap the pack on me to head to town. I only use it all day when I head to Chicago with it being unloaded, encased with a valid foid. Works well for me. illinois_buckeye Posted August 24, 2024 at 02:01 AM Share Posted August 24, 2024 at 02:01 AM Not owb but with my hellcat I’m carrying everyday with a leather pocket holster. Link below to what I bought but with my hellcat it’s comfortable to carry in my pocket. Even after breaking in it seems to have decent retention. No snap or anything but I can turn the holster upside down and the gun will stay in. https://www.ebay.com/itm/252396297354?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=59QeqLfVQHK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=b1QoO_yZSxW&var=554082963217&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
SiliconSorcerer Posted August 28, 2024 at 01:29 PM Share Posted August 28, 2024 at 01:29 PM I use a leather stitting cross draw. Lays right across the front on right side and points only slightly down. Yeah yeah but it fired it would maybe skim the top of my leg there's not a lot of angle to it. A shirt untucked or even just a tshirt covers it. I have a magnetic holder in my truck right under my keys but if I'm wearing i can still draw it with a seatbelt on. This is why i would never wear a normal holster can't get it out sitting a vehicle or on your back. Police don't wear seatbelts when near or if there's any issues this is why the unclip. Your otherwise screwed wearing a seatbelt. My 2 cents
