mauserme Posted January 24, 2024 at 05:19 PM Posted January 24, 2024 at 05:19 PM Plaintiffs Needed Under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, Illinois prohibits those under age 21 from carrying firearms for self defense. This prohibition is being challenged in a case filed in the Federal Southern District of Illinois, Meyer v Raoul. The case seeks to allow applicants ages 18 through 21 the opportunity to carry legally. Additional plaintiffs are needed to help push this case to our ultimate success. If you are, or if you know someone who is between the ages of 18 and 21, has a valid FOID card, and would like to participate in this case, please contact Attorney David Sigale at dsigale@sigalelaw.com Additional details and discussion about this case can be found on the IllinoisCarry.com forum. ###
JTHunter Posted January 25, 2024 at 08:14 PM Posted January 25, 2024 at 08:14 PM Didn't the state change the minimum age to obtain a FOID to 21 ?

Quote To be eligible for a FOID card, a person must be 21 years of age or have a parent or guardian sponsor who is eligible for a FOID card. An applicant must not be prohibited from possessing firearms in accordance with state or federal law. This requires the applicant is/has: Not been convicted of a felony. Cheers, Tim
