Vivek appears to really and completely 'get it' about the 2nd

I like what he says. I'm not sold on the fact that he's just come out of nowhere, has established zero conservative cred other than talking on TV and in interviews, and there are some claims being made about him that give me pause.

I don't like the fact that supposedly he's argued in favor of the inheritance tax because 'nobody should become a billionaire just because their parents died' or words to that effect.

He says what I want to hear but both Trump and DeSantis have demonstrated follow-through.

Recorded an interview with him last night. He’s enthusiastic. Overly aggressive hand held microphone technique despite my crash course. Needs further training.

Cheers,

Tim

Well the DNC elected a skinny young kid with funny ears and a funny name - twice    You do remember a guy names Barack Obama, don’t you?

His history makes me believe he is only saying what conservatives want to hear.  My mind is firm who I support. Let him prove himself at a lesser position.

A "talk radio" station I was listening to this afternoon (97.1 in Florissant, MO) were reading excerpts from his book that came out earlier this year.  Not only does he have a total lack of experience, he made statements in his book about abandoning Israel, conflicting ones about the Second, and (IIRC) more options for foreign nationals to enter the U.S.

Yes... Vivek actually quotes that line from Obama's speech often, which back then, was a coy reference to being black. Is the GOP ready to elect a black man or someone who looks like they own a 7/11?

Cheers,

Tim

Ask any conservative who their favorite Supreme Court Justice is and they would all tell you Clarence Thomas and they'd like 6 clones of him on the bench as well. Not people just like him, actual clones...lol

I think we need to stop dwelling on the old conservatives don't like people of color trope. We want to see true conservatives who love our country, stand up for the rule of law, and fight for our freedom instead of compromising it away all the time. Doesn't matter what color they are. Perhaps if there were more conservatives of color this would be more apparent.

Many said this same thing about Donald Trump in 2016.

I am not promoting or condemning.

I do not remember Trump being tied to the Soro's money. Trump's past was a conservative Democrat who are a rare breed today.

Nor did you mention Soros in your statement to which I referred. If you reply to this, will you then switch the subject the cost of green beans in Atlanta?

This is obviously blatant racism....   except it is (D)oesn't count when it comes from a (D)onkey.

Really? I’m just asking if the GOP is ready and willing to vote for a smart, first generation Hindu whose parents immigrated to the US?

Ramaswamy’s professed Hindu faith has often drawn scrutiny and attacks from some Christian nationalists. Ramaswamy responded to questions about his faith by noting that he shares the Judeo-Christian values, even though he is a Hindu.[36] Further, he has asked "Do you want somebody who lives by those values and shares those values and will govern according to those values even if I don’t check the box of being a Christian in name? Or do you want somebody who’s a Christian in name but may not, in any sense, live according to those values?"

I don't like the way he handles a microphone...

Cheers,

Tim

Sure.  I'd vote for Nikki Haley(born Nimarata Nikki Haley (née Randhawa)  if she were to win the nomination.

No switch. First I mention his past, second I was specific.

The cost of green beans is important to the locals. My wife grew some in our garden. Fresh is tasty.

I prefer Hayley to Ramaswamy.

Not sure how well she handles a microphone, but likely better than Vivek.

Cheers,

Tim

I’m more results oriented.  Handling a microphone or being able to read a teleprompter is a small part of leading a country.
I liked how she handled her United Nations post and the leadership she showed  there.
I have not seen that type of leadership from Vivek.

The only people hung up on the color of a person's skin are Democrats.  They prefer to value people based on their melanin content rather than their character.  As far as religion, I think that most conservatives wouldn't care what religion someone belonged to as long as it was not one of those "our god wants us to wage war against non believers" religions.
