Baseball bat attack at local congressional office in Fairfax VA

Recommended Posts

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly says a man with a baseball bat walked into his office in Fairfax, Virginia, asked for him — and then assaulted two members of his staff.

Fairfax City Police in northern Virginia said in a tweet that a suspect is in custody and the victims are being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.

Those high-capacity Louisville Sluggers are capable of hitting multiple people without reswinging.  They also have flared ends that make them more deadly and a flared grip at the end to keep them from slipping like scary military-style batons.  “Weapons of war that no one should own…”

I was in the local sporting goods store over the weekend.  I couldn't believe they had dozens and dozens of baseball bats, most of which were black,  just laying around for anyone to pick up, hold, touch, and even swing!  How can a store be so irresponsible to leave something like those out?
