I haven’t been keeping up what with the multiple threads.  But my understanding is you can NOT SELL it period.  And as I read there is nothing to stop you from GIVING to someone!  Giving vs selling are two separate different transactions.  That being said those wishing to GIVE to a USAF veteran can stop by my garage for drop offs!  Saturday’s 10-2

I made a point of amending my will to specifically identify to whom my guns were to be given upon my death. My thought was to remove any question or ambiguity about their legal disposition.

+1

Make sure you tell the recipient(s) your safe code before you begin daisy pushing.

One idea is to renew friendships out of state with an FFL or someone who is equipped for storage. We'd provide our own safe as needed. That's temporary until we can orchestrate a move.

Given the number of Chicago liberals moving to the collar counties, I will NOT be making improvements to our home that I might otherwise do out of goodwill.

We left previous homes in pristine condition with new fixtures, clean kitchens, and no smudges on the walls. Now, we will not take kindly to LWW's trying to low-ball us or claw money back after the inspection. They made Illinois an inhospitable place for us, so deal with us leaving it As-Is.

There's no difference between giving and selling. The recipient/transferee must be an FFL, cop, or other exempt person in-state or someone out-of-state.

DITTO !  I used Word to put multiple pictures of my various guns with some history about each (2 are over 100 y.o.).  It also tells (approximately in several cases) when the gun was purchased or inherited and the serial numbers.  Two electronic copies are on my computer and a relative's and hard copies at both places as well.
