RECarry Posted February 9, 2023 at 09:14 PM Posted February 9, 2023 at 09:14 PM Have not seen a thread to create enthusiasm for 2023 IGOLD. We have some couples interested in going. Wouldn't it be nice to see impressive numbers again? We received a save-the-date (and join) mailer from ISRA, but their website has no details to share with anyone. Is that a strategy? New people like time and place details.
Quiet Observer Posted February 10, 2023 at 04:34 PM Posted February 10, 2023 at 04:34 PM I cannot find any information about a 2023 IGOLD either. As you probably know, the ISRA site only gives a history of the event. It does not show up on the ISRA calendar. The last entry on the IGOLD Facebook page is from 2020. Maybe time taken for the AWB lawsuits is taking away from the time it would take to organize IGOLD this year. The lawsuit could be seen as a more urgent matter.

Is that a strategy? I think it might be disrespectful and overreaching to assume that there's a strategy. The smart money is on that IGOLD mailer leading with ordering and paying for the 2023 memorial IGOLD pin. IGOLD could really be leveraged, this year above all years. The lawsuits are super important. Yet, the ISRA lawsuits web page suffers the same lack of attention as the IGOLD webpage.
Keith44 Posted February 10, 2023 at 09:40 PM Posted February 10, 2023 at 09:40 PM There was a post in the Concealed Carry Illinois Facebook group on 9-Feb that IGOLD 2023 is scheduled for 29-Mar-2023 in the Bank of Springfield Center around 10:30 -Keith.
RECarry Posted February 10, 2023 at 10:52 PM Author Posted February 10, 2023 at 10:52 PM A scan of the mailer is now attached up top. This would be a good year to leverage the signs that say "Gun Free Zones Are Killing Zones", given that Highland Park's tragedy is a recent example (and they still don't get it).
Molly B. Posted February 11, 2023 at 02:30 PM Posted February 11, 2023 at 02:30 PM I wonder if this would get more attention in the Illinois Politics forum?

I tried going to the URL at the bottom of the flyer, "igold.isra.org" , to find more info. There is nothing there, I mean nothing to land on, it says "server not found".

If you enter igold-isra.org (with a dash instead of a dot) it takes you to last year's raffle winners.

Neither of the above links work for me and do not seem to be in typical web address formats. There is a link on the ISRA.org events page which has last years raffle winners. This does seem to be the only IGOLD info at ISRA. https://isra.org/igold-winning-ticket-numbers/ Cheers, Tim
Black Flag Posted February 11, 2023 at 09:52 PM Posted February 11, 2023 at 09:52 PM I have 2 different T shirts that say "igold.isra.org" on the back.
mikew Posted February 11, 2023 at 10:26 PM Posted February 11, 2023 at 10:26 PM Say a prayer for the ISRA and for IGOLD.
DoYouFeelLucky Posted February 12, 2023 at 02:10 AM Posted February 12, 2023 at 02:10 AM I wish you the best with this years IGOLD. It's sad to see IL go so far off the rails. Glad I got my last IL property sold in 2017. Sadly all three new residents in my IA neighborhood have moved from IL. I believe one of them put it best "I could care less about guns, I do care about having a state government that actually gives a sh$t about the important things that impact people every day".

steveTA84 Posted February 12, 2023 at 03:06 AM Posted February 12, 2023 at 03:06 AM Really wish they would have selected a better photo for the flyer. The Trump flag is gonna be an automatic turn-off for many
