This case remained stayed after Bevis. On August 21, the state filed a report on Barnett. The plaintiff (which is actually McHenry County ASA) did not respond. The judge ordered a supplemental report to be filed by October 15 on Barnett's bench trial in September. [Although the judge didn't say it explicitly, this case is still stayed, just pending Barnett instead of Bevis now.]
Euler Posted March 30, 2025 at 11:10 PM Posted March 30, 2025 at 11:10 PM On January 7, the court ordered the new McHenry ASA (the plaintiffs) to respond by January 14 whether she intends to proceed with this case. On January 14, the new ASA asked for the case to be dismissed without prejudice. On January 15, the judge dismissed the case.
