I'm pretty sure other have posted links to it like crazy in other threads. But:

Enrolled HB5471 (PDF)

This is Cloward-Piven, all over the place and designed to overwhelm the system.
Some of it falls under a nursing act at the beginning.

So it looks like in regard to regular carry pistols, anything with a 15 round magazine or less is good to go with no actions required?

That is incorrect assumption. You need to read the Assault Weapon definition and see if your pistol meets any of the requirements to be considered an assault weapon.

For example if you have a threaded barrel on your pistol, that firearm is now banned.

(C) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine or that may be readily modified to accept a detachable magazine, if the firearm has one or more of the following:

(i) a threaded barrel;

(ii) a second pistol grip or another feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;

(iii) a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel; (iv) a flash suppressor;

(v) the capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip; or

(vi) a buffer tube, arm brace, or other part that protrudes horizontally behind the pistol grip and is designed or redesigned to allow or facilitate a firearm to be fired from the shoulder.

Like I said regular carry pistols with 15 round mags are good to go.

Threaded barrels have exploded in popularity. It’s pretty easy to inadvertently mislead each other with unqualified descriptors like “regular”. In my safe an unthreaded barrel is irregular.

IMHO, it’s best to refer to the law as written.

No, you are wrong. A fewl of my friends have G19s with threaded barrels that they carry. Just because you have the 15 round magazine doesn't make it legal. They will have to switch out the barrel.

I have quite a few handguns that have threaded barrels. My interpretation was if I wanted to keep the threaded barrel, I would have to register it as an assault weapon. Or, swap the barrel to a non-threaded barrel and I won't have to register it because it's not an assault weapon anymore.

Are .22 handguns excluded? Many have threaded barrels.Asking for a friend.

The nice thing, hopefully in the coming weeks the courts step in and we won't have to debate if we are being felons or not.

I was asked today at work how this is going to help stop crime? I responded back with the answer "tell me what criminal follows the law? This law only affects law-abiding people, does nothing to criminals."

Unless they have a threaded barrel or trigger mod.

this is the house bill, is there a final bill The governor signed?

The enrolled bill (i.e., with all amendments that were passed) is indeed the bill he signed. Do you think someone substitutes a different bill between the legislature and the governor?

Didn’t alter people’s lives much in other ban states. Research the compliance rates

Tell that to all the dealers with inventory frozen. How about the few who are made examples of for innocent non compliance. Seems to be altering the emotional well being of a lot of folks here.

You should really pay attention to the nullification thread. Might help you relax and realize that this bill is going to not only be enforced, but will be destroyed in due time

But how many dealers will be able to survive sitting on inventory while this is sorted out, with massively reduced sales? I was at my normal FFL Sunday, dropping a gun off for shipping. The1vast majority of rifles in stock are now banned. I hope he sold out before the bill was signed, but I doubt it.

Yes they can sell of inventory on gun broker but the low volume guys will be lucky to break even.
