I believe they are at least an 01 to allow them to transfer stuff in/out of the museum  collection.

I imagine it's a case of "we'll not require you to give us serial #s for those evil assault weapons but in exchange you have to agree to no more private transfers 6 months sooner" to make it more palatable.

Be careful. The CCL is renewable. Are these "endorsements" renewable? probably not and that's the real danger. 

 

I imagine they know they can't get specific serial numbers, but with the "endorsement" scheme, they can

cut through and FTIP/Dealer Records for that. So that's why I've commented in the past, registration

only incriminates people, because they already have that information.

I don't think the republican interviewed by WGN understands: Illinois gun owners are done compromising. You want to arrest them? fine. We have Bruen and

we're going to get the job done: we're going to see you in court and you're going to have to explain, without a two-step test, why your "common sense"

Don't register anything. Don't submit any evidence for an endorsement. Lock it up, hide it away and set 

the lawyers loose on them. Anything endorsed on a FOID, including your CCL is known to police - 

use your imagination to see where that goes..
