Wow! JaBa the Putz is upset! My, my. When will this corpulent and corrupt politician from the patrician class learn that he is not the dictator, but rather the housekeeper. When someone’s biggest claim to fame is pulling toilets from their mansion to avoid paying property taxes they need to understand that they’ve lost all the moral authority that they assume they had.

We are in an interesting stalemate. If the senate concedes, they look week. Not sure how the senate will respond to the pressure and the anger at them..

How do you think Mike Madigan would've responded?

"The Senate version is simply not as strong as the House version — particularly in regard to the assault weapons ban and high capacity magazine provisions — and we urge lawmakers in the Senate to step up and lead to help save lives in their communities. "  Other than goinf from 12 to 15 for handguns, it goes 12 to 10 for rifles, and lists a LOT more banned guns.  If anything it's more restrictive.

Under the former Speaker, no bill would have been sent to the Senate that didn't have a guarantee of being passed.  He may have been a bully, but he kept that private.

I think Speaker Welch took a very wrong approach here.

Say what you will about Madigan but he didn't let any of this garbage become law. Cullerton too, hopefully Harmon does the same even though he has collaborated with Bloomberg's moms in the past. Jaba needs to say weapons of war more often, that's all he's got and lies, even though they're weapons made for civilians.

They ARE weapons of war and that's precisely why the founders wanted us to have them.
