Tango7 Posted August 5, 2025 at 08:12 PM Posted August 5, 2025 at 08:12 PM Illinois should have a world class soccer team given all the can-kicking that happens here.
yurimodin Posted August 5, 2025 at 10:40 PM Posted August 5, 2025 at 10:40 PM just in time to kick it down the road at Christmas.
ragsbo Posted August 5, 2025 at 10:45 PM Posted August 5, 2025 at 10:45 PM The state knows it has a losing case but as long as they can get extensions, why worry about it!
mab22 Posted August 7, 2025 at 01:34 PM Posted August 7, 2025 at 01:34 PM They will get more extensions as Christmas is 7 days later, and New Years Eve is 14 days later, they just won't have the time to prepare with all the holiday stuff going on. They won't be able to get together until after Valentines day at the soonest as they have to have time to recover from the holiday backlogs. Your tax money hard at work...

Delays are almost as good as winning the cases, this is why we need a stay on all these unconstitutional laws until they have been ran through the whole courts system. Then the state would be in a hurry to get it done.
Jeffrey Posted August 7, 2025 at 08:11 PM Posted August 7, 2025 at 08:11 PM I wish my customers allowed me to just keep pushing due dates back over and over and over. .Gov is the worst run business on the planet.

That’s because it’s OPM, Other Peoples Money. If their paychecks depended upon efficiency, like a regular business entity, that would matter, until then….”Good enough for government work.” (Look! the money fairy just keeps delivering)
Dumak_from_arfcom Posted August 8, 2025 at 01:57 AM Posted August 8, 2025 at 01:57 AM Wait... don't we want this case stayed so that Barnett remains the lead case going forward? I think we do.
