Around 43:00 they start going into Bruen and “interest balancing”, and the judge on the left says there is “something like interest balancing going on” about 43:50…

That would be Judge Berzon, adjunct professor of law at UC-San Francisco (leftist indoc camp), appointed by Clinton, was in majority for Peruta, also now has senior status so she's effectively retired and no longer gives an eff. This is an uphill battle to say the least. Six Justices, including Thomas, said that it the law infringes on the right and there is zero historical basis for such a law, it is unconstitutional. Simple as. No interest balancing.

On March 24, CA9 ordered the parties to file briefs on how the recent Duncan v Bonta en banc ruling (i.e., that magazines can be banned) affects this case by April 23.

On July 1 in appellate court, the court vacated the submission of the case pending a Supreme Court decision in Viramontes.

Basically the case is still open for appeal, but it's like everything else in the docket is (legally) gone like it never happened.
