I wonder if the range or its insurer denied responsibility or low-balled the claim. Either way, I predict an out-of-court settlement and a seal on the case. The victim will find out very quickly the limits of liability on the shop’s policy and that of the “instructor.” There is a video of the incident floating around, and it looks very bad for the shop and “instructor.” At the very least, the “instructor “ is probably judgement-proof, leaving the victim out of luck.
