Trico-Area Firearms Training currently offers Illinois Concealed Handgun License, Florida Concealed Weapons Permit, and basic and intermediate AR-15 training classes. Our classes provide you with the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding concealed carry.

Trico-Area Firearms Training’s instructors are Eric Hamilton, Jeremy Gothard, and Brian Wilson, All are current or former Law Enforcement Officers with 62 years of combined experience. Both are certified as Illinois State Police Concealed Carry Instructors and Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.

Eric has 26 years of law enforcement experience. He is the senior firearms instructor for his agency and holds certifications as a 4E Active Shooter Instructor, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Active Shooter Instructor, Police Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle Instructor.

 

Jeremy has 16 years of prior law enforcement experience and holds certifications as an Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) active shooter instructor, and Police Handgun and Shotgun Instructor. Jeremy is a United States Air Force Veteran, having served as a Staff Sergeant in the Security Forces field and deployed to four different Middle Eastern countries during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

 

Brian has over 20 years of law enforcement experience for a state agency and is currently serving as a Master Sergeant and Acting Lieutenant for his agency. Brian has been a firearms instructor for over a decade and has six years of experience as the lead firearms instructor (handgun, rifle, and shotgun) for his district and serves an as academy instructor. Brian is an instructor for numerous disciplines including Master Active Shooter Instructor, MACTAC, Rapid Deployment, Rescue Task Force, Control and Arrest Tactics, Self-Aid and Buddy-Aid.

 

Ladies-only classes are available upon request with a minimum of eight students. We no longer offer them as open enrollment.
