EdDinIL Posted January 26, 2026 at 06:02 PM Posted January 26, 2026 at 06:02 PM (edited) It wasn't on the order list today, so it'll get rescheduled... again. Edit - by the way, the next conference day is Friday February 20. Pfft, what's another month? Edited January 26, 2026 at 06:09 PM by EdDinIL
Upholder Posted January 26, 2026 at 06:21 PM Posted January 26, 2026 at 06:21 PM That does imply that they are not going to take any more cases for this term. From a scheduling standpoint, it implies any cases taken 2/20 or later will be heard next term.

gunuser17 Posted January 26, 2026 at 10:12 PM Posted January 26, 2026 at 10:12 PM I expect that they will issue the decision on the Hawaii case and then remand all of the 2A cases leading to another year or two of delay.

I'm wondering if they will put an official hold Viramontes in case the 7th circuit tries to play games with Barnett.

Still want more input from the various circuit courts.

Plenty of time has passed for a couple justices to have written dissents. In my own IANAL opinion something else is happening.

I assume this case and all the others will be scheduled for conference on Thursday the 14th. That said, SCOTUS could surprise us.
Monty80 Posted May 11, 2026 at 04:28 AM Posted May 11, 2026 at 04:28 AM Didn't realize that. Well, hopefully we get good news on the 18th.
