SAF says whichever one falls 1st, then they both fall. I'm for it. I would love to see Cook County get shot down (pun intended) as well.

On August 27, SAF submitted the petition to the US Supreme Court.

On August 29, the Court docketed it.

On September 19, Cook County requested an extension to the deadline to file a response, from September 29 to October 29.

Today, October 29, Cook County filed their Opposition to Petition for Writ of Certiorari.  It has not yet been posted to the docket.

Republicans now control, House, Senate, and Executive Branches.   We need to push them to introduce and pass legislation that prohibits the enforcement of any NEW 2A (State/local) laws (or laws currently being challenged as unconstitutional) until said laws are specifically deemed Constitutional by USSC !!!

Unless the GOP wants to nuke the filibuster, Smallbore is right, we don't have the Senate, majority vote or not.  There's no way the 45 Dems let a pro-2A vote through.

On November 12, this was also distributed for conference for this Thursday (December 5).  Guns & Gadgets had a video that mentioned it was one of five 2A cases on the conference schedule this week.

Let the conferencing games commence.  On 12/8, this case was distributed for conference for Friday December 12.  That's the last conference day for 2025.  If it's rescheduled again, the first conference day in 2026 is Friday January 9.

Why stop at NEW? Why not prohibit the enforcement of all gun control? 

At this point the republicans have shown that they support gun control through their silence. They have the super majority and could/should be rapid firing pro freedom legislation daily. Screw omni bus bills, pas hundreds of small pro gun bills every single day.  

But nope. Silence. Ok, this administration has done a couple of pro-gun things, but to me it reeks of bread and circuses.
