We are planning an upgrade to the IllinoisForum forum for Friday, August 6. The forum will be offline during the update, or at least unavailable for new posts.

There are many moving parts to this, so many that we are currently unsure of exactly when the site will be taken down and how long the process will take. The forum is very large, so we anticipate at least several hours of down time.

Updates will be posted as we know more. Keep on eye on our Facebook and MeWe pages once the site goes dark.

Just now, Euler said:

Is there a way to turn off the rich-text editor in this new version (i.e., use BB Code only)?

It's an either/or choice now - rich text or plain text at the system level.  They advise against BB Code, saying they may phase it out.

This will be a learning experience as I've use BB Code almost exclusively to this point.

Even if BB Code is phased out, it'll be another 10 years before this site implements the phased-out version ...

There are actually fewer options for composition in RTE.
