CaptCraig Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:09 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:09 PM Alright, I need your help today. I'm trying to keep the wife from spending half the day prepping for her CCL photo. Do they still use your DL photo on on your CCL license?
cnwfan3 Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:12 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:12 PM Yes. Both FOID and CCL use your DL photo.

MagSlap Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:42 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:42 PM I imagine the pic you submit is used to verify against your DL picture that they use anyway...So I would say avoid changing up 'your look' vs your DL license... I had no issues with my picture...
oohrah Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:51 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 02:51 PM unless you don't have a FOID or IL DL. Then you have to take one that fits the bill.
Euler Posted June 30, 2021 at 05:53 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 05:53 PM The FOID/CCL photo is only used to compare to the DL photo to verify you are who you say you are, nothing else.
Bitter Clinger Posted June 30, 2021 at 06:41 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 06:41 PM My CCL pic is the one from my old DL and not from my new DL. Interesting.I wonder if that will be a problem.
Tip Posted June 30, 2021 at 09:02 PM Share Posted June 30, 2021 at 09:02 PM My CCL pic is the one from my old DL and not from my new DL. Interesting. I wonder if that will be a problem. Shouldn’t…. I never had any problems. When I moved I got new DL with new picture, then went through change of addy on FOID/CCL after the (at the time) unusually long wait both were issued with the old DL pic. Had one comment when I bought a rifle that they’d never seen FOID & DL with different pic. No issues with it, just the comment. I’d have imagined there were lots of picture mismatches… Renewed CCL so now CCL & DL match again, FOID still old pic.

We spent a day there in April observing a thriving community free of mask Nazi's. In defiance, the Amish girls wore their blue masks on top of their heads LOL.
