CaptCraig Posted June 25, 2021 at 12:18 AM Share Posted June 25, 2021 at 12:18 AM I'm taking a CCL class this weekend & I'm curious to know, is the online application similar to the FOID application minus submitting the certificate? I've heard of people having a local gun store submitting for them but I'd rather apply myself if it's not too complicated.

Terry 9595 Posted June 25, 2021 at 02:20 AM Share Posted June 25, 2021 at 02:20 AM Its not if you have a scanner to scan your certificate.Thats the biggest reason for students to have us do it At Midwest we have 2 employees that spend 8 hours a day; 2 days a week. They know all the pitfalls and shortcuts. It is also free!
Euler Posted June 25, 2021 at 02:34 AM Share Posted June 25, 2021 at 02:34 AM Many public libraries have scanners you can use for free. You'll probably need a memory stick to save the image.

FredNickl Posted June 28, 2021 at 11:12 PM Share Posted June 28, 2021 at 11:12 PM Use the trainer to do it, BUT make sure they give you the login and password they used to set up the portal, and then change it when you get home. I've talked to too many folks who didn't think it was necessary to get the info that the trainer's office used to set up the portal for their class attendee until it was too late.
