That sounds like she mistrusts the largest gun purchasing groups in Illinois right now - women and people of color.

It's been a a couple weeks since our last request for witness slips. The anti-gun folks, especially those pushing the FOID "modernization" bills, are very practiced at keeping constituent input out of the debate.

When we do ask for slips it's normally done as a new thread on the forum, an email to people who subscribe to email alerts, as well as posts on Facebook, MeWe, and Twitter. If you keep an eye on at least one of those you should be in good shape.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

I added two bills to our under review lists today.

HB158 Health Care & Human Services. House Amendment 1 creates the Underlying Causes of Crime and Violence Study Act.

SB2017 Service Related Ailments . House Amendment 2 creates an Office of Firearm Violence Prevention within the 2022 Budget Implementation Act (Section 35-20 et seq).

Both bills have passed both houses, with HB158 already signed into law. I'm listing them as a way to keep track of their origin.
