“History and tradition of disarming those not able to posses firearms”

Well, the history of the FOID proves it was designed to target urban blacks during the race riots

https://www.mom-at-arms.com/post/turns-out-the-foid-card-exists-because-of-racial-tensions-and-armed-blacks

further, as it was working its way through the legislature, Sen Arrington (FOID’s daddy) wanted stop-and-frisk included with the FOID act. Gee, i wonder why….

https://www.mom-at-arms.com/post/new-evidence-on-the-origins-of-the-foid-card-and-a-complaint-to-the-dept-of-justice

when that failed, he tried AGAIN after the FOID was law. This all proves the intent of the law, so the court is saying blacks are “undesirables” i guess…..

We take nothing but L here in IL. I've got to say, I feel like a defeated army. We have to start getting these people out of office. Counting on the people in Black Robes ain't going to work for us anymore. They won't slow down their anti-gun crusade until we knock a few of them out of office.

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the case of Guns Save Life v. Kelly, a unsuccessful challenge to Illinois' FOID card.  While the ruling is not too much of a shock, today we learn that this case serves as a blueprint for how many other jurisdictions will not only uphold this law, but just about any other piece of gun control legislation all based on the toxic combination of Bruen FN 9 and the Rahimi opinion.

Where is Trump, Jr, and his other son?  I thought they were pro 2A.  I thought they were going to have a separate dept to get this rights stuff moving?  Or is this another tell us what we want to hear then leave us for 4 more years hanging?  I'm not well versed on Illinois gun history for say the last 40 years but what I have seen is other than getting CCL we haven't gotten any wins since!  Zero.  And to sit around saying we need others to make a different choice in their voting patterns is saying we are done and it is what it is!

Correct. If you want to stay as a lifelong resident of IL, and have 2nd Amendment Rights, convincing other IL gun owners to vote for 2nd Amendment politicians has the biggest effect on our 2nd Amendment rights. If you want to stack your chips on the men and women in black robes, I am sorry to say, I have lost faith in this important group of people that make up "Lady Justice." I could be wrong, but after Bruen, I just don't know. We need a political ground game in Chicago/Cook County. Door knockers, financing, and competent leaders to lead the way. We don't have Bloomberg cash, fancy slogans, or a political legacy of being born a Democrat. But, we need to do something...

Bubbacs - that's because ILL-ANNOY has become a "socialist h.e.l.l." following Kommiefornia's example.  They have gerry-mandered political boundaries so much that it is nearly impossible to elect any kind of conservative candidate.

AND, as long as there are those blue "high population areas" (East St. Louis, Chicago, Champaign, Springfield, etc.), the "Left" also controls the vote totals.
