New IL House Bill to BAN carry in Places of Worship

As a Pastor, I find this most heinous

You need to publicly call him out in opposition. This rep is a rabbi, and you, as a pastor, need to make it clear that you respect his belief that you respect his opinion should he choose to be posted, but you choose not to.

On another note, isn’t this a possible conflict of interest?

Didn't Mary Shepard file a lawsuit against the state of Illinois specifically about being able to carry in a church?!?

I mean, legally, can the state even pass this since it was her lawsuit that helped usher in concealed carry?

new ways to kiss Madigan's ***.

You misspelled "Bloomberg".

He now has his own virtual caucus in the GA.

I have a question and it's something to really think about.

If there truly is a separation of church and state, then how can the state impose its will on the church especially regarding a constitutional right.

It just seems wrong and unconstitutional to me. But hey what do I know.

You know enough to know that it's wrong and unconstitutional.

If an authority declares a gun free zone they become morally responsible for the safety of the persons within. Bills like this should include funding for police officers to provide security but that would ruin the warm fuzzy feels.

After Shepard v Madigan bills like this shouldn't be filed.

They don't care about wasting taxpayer money to virtue signal. Pass it, enforce it until it gets struck down then blame the nra for making the world unsafe for the children. Somehow they want us to believe the nra is a terrorist organization while they are the ones trying to take our rights via lawless behavior.

Maybe I just need to move to Florida or Texas and watch this state crumble under the weight of its corruption from afar.

Shouldn't the individual church leadership have the right to set their own guidelines?

Seems like gubmint sitting on the edge of the church's bed.

You'd think so - that's what the "No Firearms Allowed" signs are for!

A business is free to post the sign - but a church falls under nanny government control?

Don't you know people who attend church are to stupid to think for themselves and need the government to think for them.

My Church, Methodist, bans guns now, handgun control is church doctrine. Church is going to split due to left wing fanaticism. Its the same as in the rest of society.

The United Methodist Church is in bed with the antis (like many other faiths under Christianity). Im Catholic but dont really practice (bet you can guess why lol). The orgs are infiltrating the churches and using it to recruit/promote agenda.

The UMC tip sheet on gun discussions. Pretty bad that it talks about forming bible studies in order to draw people in and then spring this discussion on them

Btw, the Jesus says to be armed

Christian Churches, by going along with this bill or the anti-gun agenda, are going against his word, no?

At the time of Christ, the sword was the AR-15 of its day. If Christ was for control of weapons of his men, would he say be armed with sticks and stones or less effective weapons?

Not turning this into a religion debate at all btw, just pointing that out

That's what I was wondering? This idiot who proposed this bill needs to be sent the following video by thousands of people:
