FOID Denied due to Address not matching ID/DL

New user here! Apologies if I format incorrectly

 

Got denied for my FOID because "Submitted address information does not match Illinois Drivers License/ID Card Information"

 

So the last ten years I've moved quite a bit, never out of state or even out of Chicago. Just had different apartments with roommates. The reason says the address didn't match my ID/DL, in which I've only had three "legal" addresses in that regard. I just resubmitted with only those three. Does anyone have any experience on this matter?

Your address information on the FOID application must match your driver's license exactly, including the capital and lower case letters and abbreviations if there are any.

If your driver's license is incorrect, get it changed and then reapply for the FOID.

Thanks Molly B. I think they will reject it again seeing as I don't think I did the letter casing correctly

I was able to log back in and edit it! Hopefully this time it will be accepted.

I made them re-print my DL this last go around. When I got a renewal instead of putting the whole apartment number on the first line, or the whole apartment number on the second line they put (2) numbers on the first line and (1) number on the second....of a three digit number.

 

I went to the DMV and made them give me one that matched my old DL.

 

Devils in the details, would of been a PITA come FOID renewal time.

I have a mismatch between my ISP FSB account vs.my DL and my FOID. I emailed the Ask_CCL and received this reply:

 

Me: My address on my FOID Card and DL are listed as: 123 ANY STREET APT 3, CHICAGO, IL.

The address on my ISP online account is listed as: 123 ANY STREET #3,Chicago, IL.

Please note the APT 3 vs. #3. Should I correct this, or does the DL / FOID address automatically pass through to the CCL as well?

If possible, I do not want to delay or jeopardize the issuance of my CCL due to address mismatch. Thank You.

I understand the original post is about FOID not CCL, so this may not be helpful, and please note my CCL is still under review (day 71), however, it does provide one data point.

I have a weight change difference now by around 28 pounds and seems my height too has changed over the years and am afraid if I change one and not the other, they likely will hang up the system on me all the same, as they just want everything to match. I would not be surprised if a girl has nice lipstick in the driver's license and then send in the FOID or CCL stuff and let's say they see the pics are different, to cancel you because you left out the lipstick or earring? Yep, that's the system, they just want to play games with us, the truth is they really DON'T want to dole out FOID cards or CCL either one, if the law had their way we'd have neither one nor allowed to have guns period. So the whole state is as corrupt as that Rahm Emanual guy trying to run Chicago full of these illegal immigrants committing so many crimes up there that it's no wonder everyone up there has guns illegally. It's a mess, with no fix. My say is get that Rahm Emanual OUT of there, he's a Hillary worshipper and we all now see the end results, now he's fighting us on all issues, means Chicago should be made a separate state of the union and also put up the giant CHINA WALL around it too, to ensure they stay in and no more crime for the rest of this state!

Weight change is not something you have to update, that can be done when you renew your driver's license. As for the photos, in most cases the ISP uses the photo on the driver's license even though we are required to send in a current one.
