cola490 Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:07 PM Share Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:07 PM I came across this sign, it appears to be the proper ISP sign, except it is very faded. Does it still meet the requirement?
spec5 Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:16 PM Share Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:16 PM $ LOL. The placement is wrong as it is vertical. $

xdm45aaron Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:18 PM Share Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:18 PM Ask yourself, do you think a judge will let you go because the obvious ISP sign is faded. My guess is no.

spec5 Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:22 PM Share Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:22 PM OP give it another year and it will be faded out so much that it won't be visible anymore.
soylentgreen Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:46 PM Share Posted September 26, 2016 at 05:46 PM I'm no lawyer...but it looks legal to me. If it were faded so much that no reasonable person could discern what it says, I'd argue it's not enforceable...and I'd better be willing to make that argument to a judge in the unlikely event that I'm pinched. This all PRESUMES it's not a statutorily-specific location such as a school. I would not carry in a school even if it weren't posted.

Glock23 Posted September 26, 2016 at 06:31 PM Share Posted September 26, 2016 at 06:31 PM Who looks for a washed out orangish sign? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This. I don't know that I'd even see the sign, unless it's front and center "in your face" on the door, as pretty much all I do is scan for the red circle/slash when approaching a building... and if I see it, take another moment to determine if it's the GFZ sign or a no smoking sign. I think not being "red" is kind of a big deal. I've conditioned myself to look for that.

Frank Posted September 27, 2016 at 02:03 PM Share Posted September 27, 2016 at 02:03 PM Some people who printed the sign from the ISP website did not scale it correctly. It may not be the correct size. I use a dollar bill to check if it's the right size. A dollar bill is six inches wide. -- Frank

There can be a few exceptions - the only store within a reasonable distance that has an item you urgently need is a GFZ, hospitals, etc.
