cola490 Posted August 20, 2016 at 09:55 PM Share Posted August 20, 2016 at 09:55 PM I put a load of laundry in the dryer, when I turned it on, there was a solid clunking in the dryer. I looked inside and in the pocket of cargo shorts was a speed strip with five 38 special HP. What do you think? I'll shoot them at the range and report back. Quiet Observer Posted August 20, 2016 at 11:27 PM Share Posted August 20, 2016 at 11:27 PM Here is a discussion about shooting a pistol underwater. I know that is not exactly what you are asking, but it does involve bullets getting wet.http://www.dlsports.com/underwater_handgun_shooting.html In general I think that the bullet/casing fit is very tight and probably water proof to a point. I would not trust them in a defensive situation, but would use them at the range. I would only do slow fire incase there is a round that is contaminated and the bullet does not clear the barrel. sleepercaprice1 Posted August 21, 2016 at 12:38 PM Share Posted August 21, 2016 at 12:38 PM I accidently ran a handloaded 9mm round through the wash one day and it fired normally. The fit between the bullet and case is pretty tight.
