lostspring Posted April 7, 2015 at 01:04 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 01:04 AM I have tried the search function but am having no luck. Looking for a IWB appendix carry holster for a S&W Shield. Any recomendations?
kwc Posted April 7, 2015 at 01:27 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 01:27 AM I have the Walther PPS, which is nearly identical in size to the Shield. For a soft leather, collapsible, straight-drop, deep-concealment AIWB holster, I really like the High Noon Mr. Softy. It's very comfortable, thin, and uses a reverse-J belt clip that minimizes printing: http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/_Mr_Softy/_mr_softy.html For something more rigid, PJ Holster makes an all-Kydex holster that adds practically no thickness to the slim profile of a single-stack 9mm: http://pjholster.com. Note that he is about 5 weeks behind though, so you will need to wait for PJ Holster's products.
45b Posted April 7, 2015 at 01:34 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 01:34 AM I have one made by Tagua of leather with the clip for IWB and it is very comfortable with my Shield. Try here. http://taguagunleather.com/new/

morgantron Posted April 7, 2015 at 02:17 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 02:17 AM I carry shield appendix. I have two suggestions in order. First and foremost the Skinny Rig from Zorn holsters. I try to replace this one and keep coming back. I wear it all day everyday, working, playing, and never have a problem. It is very comfortable and Nate the owner will work with you to get it right. Next up is the INCOG from G Code. Good holster. Lots of options with this holster and configurations. I highly suggest both but if forced to choose I would pick Zorn. I have gone very deep concealment with the Zorn skinny rig, tucked in dress shirt with dress pants and my wife was amazed how it just disappears and its comfortable to wear all day. I love Nate at Zorn. He has worked with me for 3 years now, and it has been a pleasure to watch his business grow. He really cares. Give it a try.
morgantron Posted April 7, 2015 at 02:20 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 02:20 AM Oh and if you do go with a Zorn, please mention to Nate, Nick G sent you. I get no kickbacks at all, I just like to let him know I am spreading the word. He has a great facebook page too of his work. Has also done some custom knife sheaths for me as well.
revo.concepts Posted April 7, 2015 at 02:45 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 02:45 AM Here are a couple different appendix rigs I make. The second and third picture are the same holster, one with an injection molded belt loop and the other with a soft loop. Both of those are tuckable.
Kach33 Posted April 7, 2015 at 03:45 AM Posted April 7, 2015 at 03:45 AM I have a harwell clip-n-go for my shield and one for my lc9s. I love it and would really recommend it. I carry it appendix and at about 3:30-4:00 depending on how I feel and what I'm wearing and it works great for both wayshttps://www.harwellholsters.com/products/clip-n-go-holster-appendix-carry

Camar10 Posted April 7, 2015 at 12:56 PM Posted April 7, 2015 at 12:56 PM I use a Bianchi 100T daily and really like it.
chris79ta Posted April 7, 2015 at 11:20 PM Posted April 7, 2015 at 11:20 PM For leather, Tucker Gunleather makes one called the "cover up" it's super comfortabke, mimimal, great holster. In my opinion, it is better than high noon as it has adjustable height and cant.
tinleyparkgoodguy Posted April 8, 2015 at 01:37 PM Posted April 8, 2015 at 01:37 PM Cant go wrong with a bianchi!
lostspring Posted April 8, 2015 at 06:02 PM Author Posted April 8, 2015 at 06:02 PM Thanks for all the responses. I ended up going with the Taqua, at least for now. A guy picking out a holster is like a woman picking out shoes. LOL
