BIGDEESUL Posted October 23, 2014 at 03:13 PM Posted October 23, 2014 at 03:13 PM It's been a whole since I've ordered anything from the Sportsman's Guide. I've been a member of their buyer's club for a number of years. I've never had a problem with them, they ship ammo and mags without any issues and I'm in Cook County. The reason I started this thread is because of the experience I had placing an order last night. I recently finished a 300blk Crook legal Pistola. But I'm lacking ammo for it. They have 50rds of Fiocchi for $32. Much less than anything I can find locally. So I ordered 2 50rd boxes and a few other small items. It's been quite a while since I've placed an order, and couldn't recall my user ID and password. All other sites are a PITA compared to SG. All I had to do was enter my last name, phone number and zip code on the same login screen, and I'm good to go. No outlandish security measures, emails, etc. I called today to make sure they had my FOID on file and there were no issues with the ammo shipment. An American woman answered pleasantly. I explained I wanted to check the order status and make sure they did not need any more info. As soon as I finished my sentence, she said Michael? I said yes. She replied that someone in the warehouse was packing up my order right ow and ill have the tracking info shortly. I didn't have to provide any order numbers, logins, or ANY info at all. They had me on the caller ID, and bam, that simple. All with no foreign accent! Their site and ordering system is super simple, and their customer service is second to none. I wish everywhere was like this. Could you imagine this level of ease and service from a cable company? I'm not affiliated with SG in any way. I'm just so impressed with theis level of service and commitment to their customers that I had to share it here. I hope you all get to experience great service like that sometime soon. http://www.sportsmansguide.com
45b Posted October 23, 2014 at 04:05 PM Posted October 23, 2014 at 04:05 PM Last time I dealt with them was a special on AK mags at a price of $20 for 10 mags. I placed my order and later got an email that they had cancelled my order per my request. I called them and told them that I had not cancelled my order and still wanted the mags. They then told me they were out of AK mags. But the website now had them at $10 each and they had plenty. Never deal with them again.

narcoden Posted October 23, 2014 at 04:37 PM Posted October 23, 2014 at 04:37 PM I do like SG a bunch. I just wish I didn't have to buy a membership. I don't use them enough to justify it on a yearly basis. They did hook me up with great pricing on Glock mags in the insanity that recently took place after Sandyhook. They could have done a "Cheaper than Dirt" on us but they didn't. I think I got a 10 pack of em' for $99 during the craze. I won't forget that.

DD123 Posted October 23, 2014 at 06:49 PM Posted October 23, 2014 at 06:49 PM I'll have to give them some business soon. Natchezz will not ship ammo to Crook. They'll ship me powder, primers, bullets, and everything needed to make ammo, but not actual ammo..... I called and their reason was that it's illegal. I told them that practically everyone else does and the guy said, well, they're breaking the law then. I just laughed and said okay, everyone else is wrong, and then hung up.
Uncle Harley Posted October 23, 2014 at 11:35 PM Posted October 23, 2014 at 11:35 PM Best pair of shoes I ever had came from SG. $12 grab bag just give em your size the only thing they guaranteed was that the right would match the left lol
Hap Posted October 24, 2014 at 12:21 PM Posted October 24, 2014 at 12:21 PM If you find yourself in the Twin Cities area their retail outlet is worth a visit. Big, somewhat chaotic, but you'll probably find a couple of things that wouldn't have caught your eye on the web.
solareclipse2 Posted October 24, 2014 at 12:53 PM Posted October 24, 2014 at 12:53 PM A buddy of mine has a membership, he ordered some shooting bags and other stuff from there. Price was right and quality is pretty good too.
Briantime Posted October 25, 2014 at 04:16 PM Posted October 25, 2014 at 04:16 PM I have been buying all of my ammo from Sportsmans for about 6 or 8 months now. I can buy quality Geco 124 grain 9mm for the same price shipped as I was paying for Winchester white box at Walmart. I get it delivered to my door and don't have to haunt the ammo case at Walmart hoping they have stock.
mack69 Posted October 26, 2014 at 10:05 PM Posted October 26, 2014 at 10:05 PM I have been a fan of SG for many years. Bought lots of camping, sitting, military surplus and cold weather gear there. Never had an issue.
