Prairie Pucker Posted May 3, 2014 at 08:00 PM Posted May 3, 2014 at 08:00 PM What about a similar app that lists places that either have a CCL welcome sign, or else have verbally indicated that they approve of CCL? This way when you're traveling in Illinois you could not only see places to avoid, but also places that you might intentionally wish to seek out and patronize as you pass through.

Have you looked at the POSTED! app?It does this.

epsanto2 Posted May 11, 2014 at 07:28 PM Posted May 11, 2014 at 07:28 PM Yesterday, I entered a business in the POSTED app for Washington and today it shows up as a duplicate. Spec5 entered it on 5/9 and when I looked on 5/10 there was no listing for the CEFCU on Legion Road so I entered mine. Today, I looked and both were there so apparently Spec5's was waiting approval when I entered mine. How do I remove my listing since it is a duplicate? Thanks, Frank

Approval is generally once a day, but can be 2-3 days in some instances. Occasionally, two people notice the same sign on similar days, and both enter it. To remove a duplicate, please click on the Location you with to remove, scroll to the bottom, and click the "Remove from List" button. (It will then be removed upon the next approval.) If you run into any issues, please PM me, and I'd be happy to fix it for you.

This already exists. You can download their app from their website. www.2afriendly.com

spec5 Posted May 12, 2014 at 03:12 AM Posted May 12, 2014 at 03:12 AM It have never had any problems with duplicates. Just verify they aren't there and display them and click on Remove from List and don't forget to click Submit. Wait a day or so and it is gone.
kwc Posted May 12, 2014 at 03:13 AM Posted May 12, 2014 at 03:13 AM Seems there are a couple of folks in my area that don't look first to see if a place is already listed. I've had to delete three so far, submitted 3-4 weeks after my entries.
Xwing Posted May 12, 2014 at 01:36 PM Posted May 12, 2014 at 01:36 PM Can we remove all the Jewel listings? The problem with Jewel is that they all have a sign, which at first glance, appears to be an anti-gun sign directed at everyone. Only by looking closely do you see that it applies only to vendors & associates. (Also, there has been much debate on whether this sign is enforceable & bans carry for everyone, although the majority opinion is that it isn't, due to the background color.) Every time a Jewel is removed from "Posted!" it is added back up again by another user within a few days. This is understandable; if you see an anti-gun sign, you are likely to simply turn around and go elsewhere, and might not look too closely. So, instead of removing Jewel locations, I have been adding the update: Note: The sign states that it applies only to employees and vendors. Jewel management confirmed customers are welcome to carry. Hopefully this will inform everyone of the true status. Jewel is trying to play both sides of the fence: They want to not ban carry for their customers and lose all their business. But they also want to put up a sign to make the "antis" feel safer, and they want to stick it to their employees.
Blackbeard Posted May 12, 2014 at 03:42 PM Posted May 12, 2014 at 03:42 PM It'd be nice if we could get all the non-posted locations entered into the POSTED! app. If I check someplace I want to go and it's not in there, I don't know if it's not posted or just not entered yet. P.S. I'll be working on entering all the non-posted locations in my area.
Neumann Posted May 12, 2014 at 05:02 PM Posted May 12, 2014 at 05:02 PM The "Posted!" app lists gun-friendly alternatives. Subscribers can add to either list from their phones. The only places I've seen a "guns welcome" sign were Cabelas (Hoffman Estates) and various LGS. You are advised to keep it holstered unless there is an emergency. No showing off.

Neumann Posted May 12, 2014 at 05:52 PM Posted May 12, 2014 at 05:52 PM When you enter a new location, or confirm an existing one, Posted! gives you the option of listing a fun-friendly competitor. You have the option in Posted! of listing either one or both categories when shopping for goods or service.
