Finally broke down and took the CC class on June 25-26 and filed electronically on the 27th w/o prints. Now I begin the long wait time. My 30 days is almost up and it has moved thru the Submitted, QC verified and approved and still says "Under Review", so assume they will still have a month or two. I can identify with the checking each day. It is exciting to be getting the license, Illinois has waited and put off for so long until they could not do it anymore. Never expect much out of our great state.

 

You applied on June 25th and already show as 'Approved'? That's awesome! You should be 'active' in the next few days and hopefully card-in-hand in the next week or two... probably just a few days from the 'check mailbox every day' stage :)

 

Which county are you in?

That's great, though! You're still not far away, usually it flips to "Active" in a day or two and is received pretty quickly after from what I understand

Game over, CCL in mail today! 30 business days from applied to in hand

Hope that is what is going to happen to me, as well....maybe they have gotten better at turning them out....Congratulations!

You actually tied BobS from January '15.

He was the first in the short run of 30 day licenses back then.

Seems they got happy feet with the process at one time for what ever reason.

Maybe the printer was new and it actually went whizz bang like it should!

Didn't do an extensive search, iirc BobS is on the second page.

Even back then guys were talking about GANG Wally Walks with video, funny stuff!

Had a young guy come into the range today, he was all excited, you know, smiling broadly etc.

He wanted to rent, said its time to start a EDC search.

We got to talking and he even had printed all his papers out and was actually carrying them with him.

Screen shots from apply, all the way thru the process.

CCL in his hands yesterday, yes, had the envelope too.

32 days start to finish, this guy was like 10 on Christmas morning!

I told him about IC and he said he had heard about it but would now join to read all the great info.

 

But seriously, 32 days, is this the ISP we know and love or what?!?!?!

Well I applied on 6/13 with prints and I'm still sitting at QC_VERIFIED so I don't think it's entirely normal. :) Cook/Chicago

Applied 04/17/16 w/o prints, active today, 08/02/16 -- 107 days.

 

Had I to do it all over again, living in Dupage, I would have choked up the extra cash for prints and saved a month and a half. But not complaining -- it's on the way!

The Illinois State Police site will be down until Tuesday afternoon. The FBI NICS section will be implementing a new system. Don't know if that is in our favor or not, but I have been checking daily to see of any changes in my status, so will have to wait a few days. This change will be for the FOID and the Conceal Carry apps.

My license was in the mail today, AND the ISP site is down for maintenance..........

Just FYI, another poster 4 1/2 hours earlier posted about the maintenance issue.

 

And we can't use our "In Before The Lock" childish sheenagins in this topic! Great another wasted chance to increase our post counts!

Review board is running about a year behind on applications they have to review.

So if they are a year behind , in my case, im i looking for possible approval a year after i applied (sept'15)or from when i went under board review (dec'15)?
