I've never had a place run the number just to buy ammo, though. Just show them the card. They won't know the number isn't good anymore. YMMV. Applied mid-April with prints and went active on June 2nd. Got the FOID change letter on the 4th, but still no cards in the mail as of today. FWIW, I applied in March (with prints) and got my cards in hand within 39 days total.Update: Said family member got their CCL in the mail today. No FOID card yet though.
