Walmart Concealed Carry prohibited sign

Instead of a dent in the primer, it is kind of smooth and bulged out and the sealant makes a ring, it sort of looks like a egg sunny side up.

An example of a fried egg primer is the lower left corner. That is a 147gr Bonded Golden Sabre that fired, but if you look at it it barely has a nick in it - not like the solid dent in the Winchester in the upper left. The top right two are Remington Golden Sabres that failed to fire.

I put those 2 unfired Remington Golden Sabres in my CM9 today and they shot fine.

I shot ten 124gr Lawman TMJs, ten 147gr Bonded Golden Sabres and forty rounds of 115gr Winchester FMJ through the CM9 with no broken followers and no other problems.

I did get a jam when I tried to chamber the first round by slingshoting the slide, but Kahr tells you to lock the slide stop back and you the slide stop lever to load the gun. I've never had a problem when loading the gun via hitting the slide stop (slide release) lever.

J.R. Shooting Sports was hot as heck. For some reason they didn't turn on the air conditioning.

I really dislike that the Kahr operates like this. It would really put a crimp in clearing a malfunction.

Once it's broken in and loosened up, slingshotting is not an issue.

I can load my CM40 using either method.

I think mine is broken in and loosened up.

When I first got it, I manually racked the slide 500 times before I even went to the range. I dry-fired it a few dozen times every night and I still dry fire it almost every day.

I put 300 rounds through it before today.

If it's not loosened up by now, what does it take to get the gun to that point?

It can also depend on the rounds you use (mine prefers hollow points, and will sometimes require a push if trying to slingshot a flat nose truncated round), how clean/polished your feed ramp is, how forceful you slingshot, etc.

Kahrs are very tight, picky guns. Basically, just learn what you can/can't do or, to be on the safe side, use the slide release when possible.
