POSTED! - NO CARRY Signs

I've searched the forum and don't find any reference to this. I know that hospitals are statutorily prohibited locations but what about "animal" hospitals. I don't see anything in the act that actually defines "hospital". There are definitions for "mental health facilities" treating "people" but I didn't see anything for hospitals in general. Reason for my question is that the Orchard Road Animal Hospital in Montgomery is now a Posted location. The technician stated that the sign just went up but she wasn't really sure why.

I'm going to go out on just a little bit of a limb and say veterinary offices are not within the intent of the hospital prohibition even if the word "hospital" is included in the name. They can still post voluntarily, of course.

Just went for an oil change and Crystal Lake Chrysler is posted. Talked to owner and he told me the police came and posted them, dam I bought my last four vehicles from them and have lifetime oil changes on my truck for $10. We talked for like fifteen minutes and he just gave me the run around salesman crap. Let him know I wouldn't be back as long as signs are up.

Pisses me off till no end. I don't know where they get off on doing that type of crap but it needs to stop. Same with them using private property even more so during business hours of a place to set up there radar traps. Not there property to post signs or sit in either. Far as I would think that's lottering. And if you or I did it you bet your rear end you get a ticket for it.

Louis Joliet Mall is posted. State approved sign. Bottom of inner entrance doors. I added this including a picture to the Posted! App.

FYI the Panera Bread store has both an outside entrance and access into the mall. Neither of these are posted.

Lastly, putting the GFZ signs at the bottom corner of the inner doors is not "conspicuous" in my opinion.

Does it really piss anybody off except me when the government prints and hands out signs or posts them themselves in private businesses? I get it for the places required to post that are run by the government, but to do it for a business? They need to mind their own damn business.

If a government body is really doing that, I'd sure like to hear about it. That's crossing the line. (Like they care anymore...)

Unfortunately I have had to add to the posted app, signs are showing up in the last few days, some just as I was driving around (I was looking for those that needed it like local bars).

Even our Post Office has been posted with an IL sign since last Thursday.

Posted in Manteno (60950)

BP/dunkin Donuts at division/45

Shell at I-57 (southcreek Dr)- 2 gas station doors posted, but McDonalds Entrance not posted, share the same building, did not go in and see if there are signs between McD's and the Gas station side.

Homestar Bank on Division

Centrue Bank on Division

All added to posted, I will be looking for more 'voluntary' posted locations, afraid I will be seeing more.

We still have a few gas stations not posted, but no other banks.

Went to Edible Arrangements in Oak Park to pickup a birthday gift I bought online. Saw the sign posted, I couldn't really back out of the transaction as I paid online to do a pickup but will be writing a email to the store as to why I won't be going to their place again. I know EA franchises so I don't know if it applies to all stores.

Caliendo's in Winfield is posted. I wouldn't be surprised if they are more than 50% alcohol sales, but I don't know for certain.

By the way, Caliendo's has a separate bar from the restaurant. Do they HAVE to post the entire place - the restaurant and the bar both, or is there anything that says they could post the bar but not the restaurant?

Did Caliendos also post their carry out section off to the right of the main entrance? It's really a separate section separated from the bar and restaurant area.

Buffalo Wild Wings in Woodridge on Route 53 has a non-compliant no firearms sign. I stopped in and gave a NGNM card to the gal and explained that the sign will accomplish two things, 1. It turns the restaurant into a kill zone and 2. It will keep law abiding, responsible customers like me from spending my money in their establishment. I asked her to please give the card to the manager.

At least you did not mention that it was non-compliant.
