Blackbeard Posted September 28, 2015 at 05:41 PM Share Posted September 28, 2015 at 05:41 PM BWW is globally posted as its the company's rules. Most of the ones i have been to are not actually posted. but a good majority of them are in accordance to company rules. Well whether it's policy or not, I'd just as soon keep the Posted app updated with the actual posting status of individual properties.

However, I still wouldn't give that anti gun company one single red cent of my money. They are known to be anti's and I can't even be "friends"/"acquaintances" with an anti let alone give one money! I'm sorry but it may be "legal" but I'm STILL taking my $$$ elsewhere!!! !!!! !!!

The previous sign was the only non verbal legal method conveying otherwise and they chose to remove it.

stm Posted September 29, 2015 at 03:08 PM Share Posted September 29, 2015 at 03:08 PM Not sure why the Illinois Carry Posted! site shows the Moline Buffalo Wild Wings as posted. Visited there yesterday (carrying). Not posted... They used to have non-compliant signs at the front doors. I haven't been back since I saw those. I might have to catch a football game there this weekend, if they aren't posted.

Visited there yesterday (carrying). Not posted... If you checked thoroughly and there are no signs, please click "Remove from List" on that one to get it removed. BWW globally is very anti-gun, and it's part of their corporate policy. However, while many of the locations follow the anti-gun policy, not all do. If a specific location has no signs, please put in request to remove from the app, and it'll be removed. (If a location has a sign, but it's non-compliant, please click "Update Business" to note that the sign is non-compliant.

Redlin Posted October 10, 2015 at 04:59 PM Share Posted October 10, 2015 at 04:59 PM I don't go Jewel much, but went to the one in Batavia today. The "employee and vendors only" no gun signs were gone. When they first went up in 2014 I said something to someone there and of course the signs stayed up.Nothing to do with my conversation I'm sure, but nice to see they took them down.I still think they're expensive but probably will do a little more shopping there now.Went back to this Jewel today and the sign was back up.The edges were curled like it had been removed then put back up,go figure. Glock23 Posted October 30, 2015 at 04:27 PM Share Posted October 30, 2015 at 04:27 PM Fast Track convenience store in East Alton / Wood River. I stopped for a 6-pack on my way home from work today, as they have a couple slots in their beer cooler that they rotate out with various craft beers. I didn't notice the sign on my way in, as someone was holding the door for me (this could be a topic of its own). I noticed it on my way out of the parking lot...glanced at the doors and there it was. Incidentally, this was apparently the first submittal for the East Alton / Wood River area into the posted app... do I win a prize? Recently took their sign down, though not exactly sure when...within the past week or two. Noticed last night on my way home from pool league, so I stopped in and grabbed a bottle of Jack, the wife grabbed some Steakhouse Funyuns, and picked up one of the Halloween Millionaire Raffle tickets, so they'll get a nice bonus if (when!) I win.

Visited there yesterday (carrying). Not posted... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s10/kotecki_photos/IMG_20150927_121412562.jpg I was there as well looking for the signs. I think someone may have assumed that BWW policy was to post all properties, but this one isn't posted. BWW corporate locations have started to put up "No firearms allowed" signage which is non compliant in stores around the country. It would not comply with IL statute if they did indeed put it up. Tod Posted November 9, 2015 at 09:48 PM Share Posted November 9, 2015 at 09:48 PM Probably the wrong thread ... but can someone point me to a listing of where someone has been cited with a misdemeanor for getting caught carrying in a "post no gun" private business? Reason I ask ... I have a friend who's an advocate of the "hey, no one is going to notice." I choose to obey a legal "no gun" sign on a private business ... but also choose not to do business ... However, one of my wife's favorite restaurants has a "no gun" sign posted on the front door. It leads to some lively husband-wife discussions ... because I usually fold when she threatens that my "no gun no go" policy could lead to a "no go no sex" edict ... particularly for this restaurant. I usually fold and enjoy my meal, my wife and my continued sex life.

guzzimike66 Posted November 12, 2015 at 05:50 PM Share Posted November 12, 2015 at 05:50 PM Not a specific location to point out, but I took a walk near State street (Chicago) on a supplies run for the office. Not a single business displaying the "no guns" sticker had it prominently displayed as I understand it. Either @ way up @ top of door or bottom, a few inches off the ground. fenris Posted November 28, 2015 at 04:45 AM Share Posted November 28, 2015 at 04:45 AM A quick question regarding the posted app. I took the family out to the movies tonight and I used the posted app to find a non posted theater. The first one I looked up was AMC showplace in Naperville and it says 'posting required per statute.' Am I missing something regarding the AMC showplace that makes it required to post by law? Sounds like a trolling submission. Theaters are not required to post (unless they sell alcohol, and get more than 50% of their revenue from alcohol sales), though many anti's maintain they are. Hopefully, @xwing identifies the poster and investigates.
