She should be angry at the 95% that don't want you as a customer.

Didn't Chicago pass a law (or try to) requiring a large number of places to post in order to retain their business license?

Don't think they passes a law. It was the liquor board telling anything that needed a license that they had to post or no liquor license. As far as I can rememberr.
Yeah, that sounds like the discussion I remember a while back. That would seem to cover a very large number of bars, restaurants, etc.

The list needs some work. There are places that are posted that aren't on there.

There are places that are on there that aren't posted.

There are places that have corporate issued non compliant signs so I ignore them.

I will double check the one needs to be removed.

I'm 99% sure they have the same signage as any other Jewel.

I talked to the store manager and he wanted to know all about concealed carry, like a half an hour talk about it.

I'm pretty sure they have the "No gun sign with disclaimer saying it only applies to employees and vendors."

One I am absolutely sure about and the other place - Do you even put a non compliant sign on the list?

That vinyl cling sign fell off the glass by the door years ago at the Jewel nearest to me and was never replaced.

Discovered today and not on the list (at least not on the web site AFAICT): Plano factory outlet, Plano, IL

It seems bizarre to me that a place known for selling gun cases is a GFZ.

Doesnt hurt to ask about it. I asked about a GFZ sign put up at a business and it was gone on my next trip there.

I was in Plano again today (for a reason beyond my plans as of yesterday), so I stopped in to ask.

Is the sign new? How long has it been there? To every one of my questions, other than acknowledging that it exists, the cashier's reply was "I can't answer that." However, the tone of her voice was more like "I refuse to answer that."

It appears to be a compliant design, applied to the outside of the glass, affixed with some fairly sturdy glue at the height of the door handle to the right of the door.

We put Jewel signs in the "anti-gun lite" category for places that do something unfriendly but not prohibiting carry. But there is at least one Jewel (in Lake County if I remember) with the actual enforceable sign instead of the "only for vendors and employees" sign. The rest of them that I'm aware have the one that we can safely ignore (but still put them as "anti-gun lite". :)
