Dick's on Randall Rd in Geneva had .38 Sp, .40 S&W target loads, Remington UMC ($21.99 for 50 rds.) and 30-30. Sorry did not get prices on the .38 or 30-30 as was only interested in the .40. Guy at the counter didn't mention if there was a limit on how many boxes you could buy. 3 Wally Worlds (St. Charles, Aurora and S. Elgin) and Gander Mt had nothing.

Thanks ! Looks like they have about ten boxes left.

Stopped by GAT today. One box limit per caliber. Had some .40 .45 .38 .223. Not a great selection.

Then went over to Cabelas. Only thing they really had in quantity was their Herders brand 7.62

I stopped by the StCharles Walmart this evening and talked to the guy who sometimes works the ammo counter.

He said they get deliveries Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.

The Tuesday deliveries don't get put out until Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and there are always people waiting in line to get ammo. They limit 3 boxes per customer and the ammo is always sold out by 9:00 a.m.

I'm not sure when the Thursday and Friday deliveries get put out on the floor - he was vague about that. He made it sound like ammo gets put out on the floor at 8:00 a.m.

The Super Walmart on Kirk and Butterfield (rt56) had 9 boxes of 100 ct winchester 9MM for $24.97 per box. This was at 9:30AM today. Dick's on Randall in Geneva had .40 ($21.99 per 50), .45 ACP (&24.99 per 50) and .223 55gr ($24.99 per 50) ammo in stock, 3 box total limit. St. Charles Walmart had been picked clean, just a couple boxes of 270 and 300 rifle ammo.

Stopped by there today around 9:30am and picked up 3 boxes of Federal .40 for $18 a box of 50. They had 3 boxes left. There was also 1 box of Winchester .38 special +p that they guy also let me buy despite the 3 box limit which was nice of him.

Wish I could have got some of that 9mm yesterday.

Stopped by Farm & Fleet and they had nothing. Lady there said they had some 22LR which just sold before I got there. Also stopped by the Walmart on Rt.59 in Naperville and they had nothing. That was enough running around for me for one day.

I was at MegaSports in Plainfield yesterday. They had a bunch in stock, and said they have removed their quantity limits on everything. The prices are still a few dollars more than usual, but they have stuff in stock.

Livewire,

I know this question sounds overly optimistic, but .22lr as well?

Yesterday not a bunch, but some, but about 1 week ago they had TONS of .22LR in stock. I picked up 2 of the 375 pack of Federal Match a couple weeks back. But be forwarned if you are not familiar, you MUST have your FOID to even walk in the door, and don't take your cell phone out of your pocket at all. They are very stringent on their rules there.

Feel free to update and monitor this thread for ammunition shortages and when in-stock discovered.

I was just at megasports in Plainfield and they have alot of different ammo in stock there. They havealot of remington 22lr yellow jackets 500 rd box but they were $69. They just got some 223 when i was there. 380 and 9 luger too. I also was looking for my soon to be cc gun and I was looking at the ruger lcp but grip to small. the lc9 is ok alttile bigger. Looked at the baretta nano kind of heavy. s&w bodyguard the grip was to small. Then the guy pointed me over to the Sig p238 extreme I looked at it and held it and holy crap it felt so comfortable and the perfect size for cc but its $720 and that is a little high for my cc well maybe.

P.s. They are open 9-9 during the week weekends 9-5

When did they start opening on Mondays? Also, if you want a P238, go to Gunbroker. You'll find them quite a bit cheaper there.

Put a crimson trace laser and the special Hogue grip designed for it. It literally made it a different gun and the grip is superb.

I used to hate it but now I love it. Its even fun to put 50 rounds through it at the range now. It is one of the best CCW guns out there hands down.
