Rep Senger: If we want to get the most we can out of our portfolio we need flexibility...

Urges a no vote.

Rep Reboletti: Asks why we are doing this - wonders if the sponsor just doesn;t like guns

Rep Mitchell quotes statistics on support for background checks etc. Speaks to his belief that NRA will lobby against anything that makes sense (per his interpretation). Adds that we divest of terrorist countries, etc.

Our pensions are a mess and they want to pull out of an industry that's providing good returns.

Rep Willis ask if members are allowed to pick where their money is invested now?

Rep Mitchell: No

Rep Willis: Commends the bill in that it goves individuals who want to avoid investing in guns that option.

Note: It is not an option - the bill is a mandate that would prevent those of opposite mind from investing as they see fit.

Rep Sacia speaks to the rampant violence in our country and wonders why we only look at firearms and ammunition.

This...why are they investing in car companies that must now make less safe vehicles to comply with new EPA Fuel Standards?

What about Fireworks? Heck what about spray paint...where does it stop?
