pyre400 Posted September 10, 2011 at 06:52 AM Share Posted September 10, 2011 at 06:52 AM Banner updates have been made - we now have a rotating banner system.I've ran a compatibility test with most common browsers (safari, internet explorer, firefox, mozilla, opera) - they all seem to work fine, but let me know if there are any display/functionality issues. Looks like it's working. Does this allow for additional banners and advertisers? No longer limited to a set number?

Now there is only one. Take note of which ones you see and their order. Then, go to another topic and you will see they have changed. Each page, topic, forum, etc now has a different set of banners. They change.

For some reason, it is not working on my machine. Thanks,AB
pyre400 Posted September 12, 2011 at 09:43 PM Author Share Posted September 12, 2011 at 09:43 PM We changed the banners back for the time being. I believe Abolt was seeing the failure to apply the banner changes to all "skins" - that was my fault.
pyre400 Posted September 12, 2011 at 09:46 PM Author Share Posted September 12, 2011 at 09:46 PM Chrome? my chrome is so slow now. what can i do? That may be due to the javascript. Unfortunately, since we have to service many different types of browsers, we have to use java. The banners have been reverted back to simple image tags - let me know if that speeds things up - I suspect it will.

No longer limited to a set number? Sorry, missed your post before. Yes, we'll be able to rotate the banners regardless of how many sponsors we have.
