TTIN Posted June 16, 2011 at 11:49 PM Posted June 16, 2011 at 11:49 PM As some of you might know,I'm a Glock fan. They handle well,go bang overtime I pull the trigger, and are generally a quality product.However......Today I went to a range that I had just joined to site in my AK74.I was going to take my Kahr P40 with me,but I got a sudden urge to shoot my Rock River 1911.I had forgot how sweet shooting it was.Hit just where I aimed it,and the muzzle flip didn't seem as harsh as I remember a Glock being. I think I fell in love.........again!
GNHNTN Posted June 17, 2011 at 12:03 AM Posted June 17, 2011 at 12:03 AM There are many numbers associated with shooting......9,40,23,17,220,357, and the list goes on and on. While these are all very important numbers there's really only one number that counts (IMO)...........1911!

TyGuy Posted June 17, 2011 at 02:11 AM Posted June 17, 2011 at 02:11 AM If Lima can conceal a full size 1911 anyone can.

I like that holster design. Looks like an easy one to make, too. I'll probably put a little more leather on the inside piece to protect me from the hammer & sights. Sounds like a fun day at the range with the AK47, too.

Works well, but I wanted something that would conceal on the outside of my pants in this hot weather.

Yeah, mine was a little quicker than that, but was a couple of years ago. They usually overstate the wait, so you're happy when it takes less time. You might e-mail him and see if that's still the wait time or if he's got one on hand for the 5" gun. His online store doesn't show one but does have the "combat" model on hand. I've got a belt from this guy as well as a tuckable IWB that I like a lot. I'm gonna have to get a crossbreed though. Every holster thread I read has at least one testimonial for the CB. I'm gonna have to prove it to myself I guess!! AB
milq Posted June 17, 2011 at 03:44 AM Posted June 17, 2011 at 03:44 AM I have a Milt Sparks summer special 2 for my 1911. IWB so it requires that I wear only the loosest of my pants to carry when in a free state.
