Drylok Posted July 2, 2010 at 08:04 PM Posted July 2, 2010 at 08:04 PM Is SAFR an illinois carry thing or an ISRA thing or a both thing?
Nomad Posted July 2, 2010 at 11:12 PM Posted July 2, 2010 at 11:12 PM Will all the plaintiffs speak again this year to us or at least be present? I really want to thank them personally and let them know they are genuine heroes.
Molly B. Posted July 2, 2010 at 11:36 PM Author Posted July 2, 2010 at 11:36 PM $910.00 so far - great work and we have a week to go yet!!What a great way to celebrate McDonald vs Chicago!
Ol'Coach Posted July 3, 2010 at 01:13 AM Posted July 3, 2010 at 01:13 AM If a record for attendance isn't set, we're doin' somethin' wrong!!! Think the media will ignore it again this year? How can they, with all that has transpired? (ans: 'cause they want to!)
Yas Posted July 3, 2010 at 02:01 AM Posted July 3, 2010 at 02:01 AM Sell tickets of photo opportunities with Snuffy? After last year's images I have a feeling a lot more members will be wanting a special keepsake like that. Of course he could stymie that idea and just not show up. But what are the odds on that?
SFC Stu Posted July 3, 2010 at 03:23 PM Posted July 3, 2010 at 03:23 PM I'd love to come up and support you guys and gals. I carry 24/7 and Diddle Daley does not like that. I don't disarm for idiots! Good luck and I hope you have a huge turnout!

From attending the last two SAFR celebrations I can assure you Chicago's Finest are on our side. If you whiff any tear gas it will be from what is aimed at Mr. Michael Pfleger.

ilphil Posted July 9, 2010 at 04:35 PM Posted July 9, 2010 at 04:35 PM SAFR actually got a brief bit of coverage from WBBM- radio. They have a reporter there and she said the crowd is about 300.It was a straightforward report without the usual anti-gun vitriol.
dan Posted July 9, 2010 at 06:22 PM Posted July 9, 2010 at 06:22 PM I was there until a few minutes ago. Nice crowd and a nice day for sure. I only saw a WBBM radio reporter and no other media reporters. I would guess about 400 or so. seems like there should have been more. Saw the some of the PO's clapping to some of the speeches...I saw no protesters while I was there.
