Will all the plaintiffs speak again this year to us or at least be present? I really want to thank them personally and let them know they are genuine heroes.

If a record for attendance isn't set, we're doin' somethin' wrong!!!

Think the media will ignore it again this year? How can they, with all that has transpired? (ans: 'cause they want to!)

Sell tickets of photo opportunities with Snuffy? After last year's images I have a feeling a lot more members will be wanting a special keepsake like that. Of course he could stymie that idea and just not show up. But what are the odds on that?

I am planning on catching a Metra train from the Aurora Metra station Friday morning if anyone wants to meet up and ride downtown together.

Trais leave at

8:20AM and arrive at Union Station at 9:42AM

or

9:40AM arriving at 10:42AM

I am leaning towars the first. I am hoping to be right up front because I have never been tear gassed or maced before and this may be my last chance <GRIN>

Bud, This isn't a "protest" per se but more a celebration of our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. From attending the last two SAFR celebrations I can assure you Chicago's Finest are on our side. If you whiff any tear gas it will be from what is aimed at Mr. Michael Pfleger.

that's why I put the <grin> at the end of it

Yea I know - I saw the grin but it didn't sink in.

I'll meet you there!

SAFR actually got a brief bit of coverage from WBBM- radio.

They have a reporter there and she said the crowd is about 300.

It was a straightforward report without the usual anti-gun vitriol.

I was there until a few minutes ago. Nice crowd and a nice day for sure. I only saw a WBBM radio reporter and no other media reporters. I would guess about 400 or so. seems like there should have been more. Saw the some of the PO's clapping to some of the speeches...I saw no protesters while I was there.
