  1. Is there a particular model or models that you have for sale?
  2. I checked them out as I was on my way home from Milwaukee, so it was on the way. They had a nice Wilson Combat but it was on sale for over $3,300. Very nice feel but a bit over my budget. I am seeing an older used WC CQB for about $1,800 in a 4" barrel. That seem like a good deal if it is in excellent shape, or do the older ones tend to go for that much these days? The picture looks pretty good but there is either a glare or it shows some wear on the upper corner parts of the slide.
  3. I am in Plainfield. I travel for work to Rockford, Wheeling, Lincolnwood, and a few other Chicago suburbs, so I can get to most places in Northern Illinois. Thanks for the reminder and I’ll make a trip to North Shore Sports Club. Thanks again!!
  4. I’m highly considering used as well to save $500-$1,000. I’m very happy with my used Dan Wessons.
  5. I have fallen in love with my 1911’s. I have Kimber, Sig, Springfield, and Dan Wessons. I am wanting to step up to a full custom but don’t know where to go to compare. Is there a place that has more than one option to handle side by side? I am thinking about Nighthawk, Ed Brown, Les Baer, and Wilson Combat. Am I forgetting anyone that also fits at this price point?
  6. I'm interested in the 510 but not familiar with the feel of one.  Do you know if it is much larger than a 509c, as far as grip goes (I know the grip length is probably much longer)?  I have been dying to get my hand on an FN 509 for awhile and I just won an auction for a 509c but I probably won't see it for a week.  With that said, I know my local gun store has a 509 and I might go by there today to get a feel for it.  Hopefully they'll have a 510 as well.

  7. Freedom Munitions currently offering .357 Mag for $22.88/ 50 rounds ($0.46/ round) looks pretty good to me.
  8. I was at the range last week and two people said they were getting ammo delivered from Midway USA (outside of Cook County). I was kind of surprised but I have not tried with them yet.
  9. The least expensive ammo that I usually find are through https://www.freedommunitions.com/ (mostly self labeled new and reloads) or https://www.deleonrxgunsandammo.com/ (lots of name brands to choose from).
