  1. Hey y'all I used the search bar for this topic and I didn't find any information regarding this situation. Or maybe I'm just terrible at searching, that being said, could y'all help me out. Good friend of mine applied for his FOID over a year ago, but moved shortly after. We think they emailed the FOID to his old address, but he has no way of getting mail from that long ago. I tried to help him login to ispfsb website to check the status, but he couldn't remember any of the information nor the email addressed he used. When you hit "forgot password" it brings up a page to reset it, but there is no "forgot username" option. I apologize if there is a thread detailing this but I did try searching. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially by him, cause due to his current financial situation, he's living in a very dangerous neighborhood. Thank you
  2. I didn't try to order any pistol ammo, only 5.56... maybe that's why they shipped it? Zip code was 60631
  3. Thats weird. I did have to upload my FOID and DL before they confirmed shipping, but no problem ordered 55 grain IMI 5.56
  4. Correction: MidwayUSA not midwest MidwayUSA does not ship ammunition to Chicago. i live in Chicago and they shipped to me last week.
  5. Target USA has a free discrete packaging option, which is awesome. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but it's good to know if you plan on purchasing from MidwestUSA, especially if you live in an apartment. Ordered 450 rounds of IMI 5.56 from them last week, the package had four large bullet logos on it.
  6. Has anyone had a lawyer write a response for the review board, if so, what was the outcome?
  7. I wish I could, but I work Monday-Friday during those hours. It’s like the ISP knows that most people applying for their CCW are honest hard working people, so they make ridiculous requirements on purpose, to make acquiring your lincense as difficult as possible. No, that was the anti-Second Amendment leaders in both the House and Senate that did that. You’re absolutely right. I’m just frustrated at the moment.
  8. But the problem with them being so long ago is I have no idea where those papers could be. I’ve serached everywhere. The last place I remember them being was in a file cabinet at my grandmothers house. We sold the building a couple years after she passed and haven’t seen them since. The lawyer who handed the expungement hasn’t returned my phone call(most likely retired).

  10. They 100% did object to expunged cases. I’ve tried to contact the lawyer I had back then that did the expungement to get proof/have the other one expunged, but that was 10 years ago and he may be retired now. Hasn’t returned my call and the voice mail was the generic robotic lady.
  11. Looking for some guidance from others here who have had the ISP object to expunged arrests. Besides the whole thing being unconstitutional. I have some serious concerns. These expungments were a decade ago. When I went to get reports on the list of objections the ISP sent me from CPD, they had no record of them because they were expunged, with the exception of one case that was dropped(must have forgot to have my lawyer expunge it). That being said, if the expungement is doing what it’s supposed to(making it disappear)how am I supposed to respond to the objections that the ISP really has no legal grounds bringing up? A judge decided I was innocent and therefore dropped these cases, and last I checked, the decision of a judge is greater than those filing unconstitutional objections. Now here’s my main concern. I’ve seen a lot of advice suggesting people be honest with the review board if you made mistakes in the past. Which is fine, everyone makes mistakes and deserves another chance. But how are you supposed to adress certain “objections” that you were cleared and found innocent, in a court of law, by a judge, without incriminating yourself?
  12. UPDATE Went active on 10/13. You really took a long time to go from approved to active - almost a month. I went approved last week- hope I'm not waiting as long. What is the "email trick"?
  13. My foid status just went active on Monday. Wanted to check back and say thanks for the help MollyB!
  14. e I was able to log back in and edit it! Hopefully this time it will be accepted.
  15. Thanks Molly B. I think they will reject it again seeing as I don't think I did the letter casing correctly
  16. New user here! Apologies if I format incorrectly Got denied for my FOID because "Submitted address information does not match Illinois Drivers License/ID Card Information" So the last ten years I've moved quite a bit, never out of state or even out of Chicago. Just had different apartments with roommates. The reason says the address didn't match my ID/DL, in which I've only had three "legal" addresses in that regard. I just resubmitted with only those three. Does anyone have any experience on this matter?
