I, for one, cannot wait until fatboy’s lawyers appear before the Illinois Supreme Court (if it goes THAT far) to try to defend this garbage legislation. How will they even try? Once this fat azz loses in court, the Justices ought to sanction his lawyers, Willis, Harmon, and fat azz himself for deprivation of Constitutional rights under color of law. Haven’t the idiots even considered how they’re going to answer about the illegal aliens and their sanctuary cities flouting federal law? I cannot stand his smug attitude and appearance. He has a date with the Justices that he won’t like. Maybe federal prison will be his next residence.

Mods: Has anyone compiled a map of the Illinois County Sheriffs statements rejecting HB5471? I thought I ran across one early in the situation, but now cannot find it. So when are they going to track other “weapons” ? What about knives, sledge hammers, baseball bats, screwdrivers, automobiles, airplanes, controlled substances? The list is endless. If someone wants to kill someone else, they will use whatever they have access to. Where does this stop?

He barely had time to greet the plane bringing their bodies home for burial! Kept looking at his watch, because he was bored and wasn’t interested in this ceremonial. But he orders the flag to be flown half-staff for victims of a mentally deranged 21 year old kid because he used a gun to commit his crime. THIS fits his agenda. What a piece of work!

Guess what, folks? Mine came today, along with my new foid card!!!!!!!! My timeline was thus: applied with prints 4 August 16, active 9-21-16, in my grubby paws 9-30-16. Congrats to all my Illinois carry friends who received theirs the past couple of days, the old printer in Spfld. must have had a workout printing all our licenses and foid cards. Hopefully the system gets more streamlined for all the folks in review, board review, and wherever else they are keeping them. I will continue to read this forum to try to soak up as much knowledge as I can.

Same for me here. Not only is the mail from Spfld. slow, but my local post office is S-L-O-W-E-R than molasses in January in the Arctic , and that's only if they don't deliver my mail to someone else's residence, which happens a lot. I'm sure I will get it by sometime in November...☹️
