  1. I, like these other folks, received the same e-mail yesterday, concerning my FOID and CCL cards. I tried to log in and got the same notification. Only problem: I am no longer an Illinois resident, haven’t been for two years now. After moving, I dutifully sent our cards to Springfield, and informed them of our move. Makes me wonder if their “system “ is up to date. Is this just another reason why Illinois citizens are left in limbo concerning their FOID and CCL cards? Hopefully, it’s just a major software error, and not indicative of another problem with the ridiculous wait times and situations concerning ISP and the firearms bureau. No reason on earth why it is fraught with problems. Why can’t Illinois be like surrounding states and issue licenses in a timely manner? I have my own opinion, but it doesn’t concern me anymore. To my former fellow citizens of Illinois: I feel for you and wish it wasn’t this way, but moving out is your best alternative.
  2. I’m with Yettiblood. Illinois was the last state in the Union to allow for concealed carry, and that was only because the Supreme Court was about to drop the hammer. Illinois will be the last state to go Constitutional Carry, because, again, they will be under orders from the Supreme Court. If I’m not mistaken, I believe Illinois is the most expensive state to acquire a permit. Do you really think they are going to give up that cash cow for nothing until forced? I don’t think so. Too much money is being stolen from the ISP and the firearms services bureau. Oh, meant to say “swept”. So glad I left. Ladies and gentlemen, leave Illinois if at all possible.
  3. Yeah…sign me up so I’m registered with the feds for possible non vaccination status…how soon before a knock on the door and the FBI, CDC, NIH all come barging in demanding to see your papers…no thanks.
  4. Nothing new here. Typical modern Democratic ploy: control the narrative. I expect nothing less from these pieces of ****. This is NOT the Democratic Party of President John F. Kennedy.
  5. Not that it really means anything, and it’s probably local management following company-wide directives, but recently, we were in a Walmart near Alton, Illinois. I saw a sign on the entry door telling customers, please do not open carry firearms into the store, only law enforcement personnel are allowed to open carry. I seriously thought about informing the manager that open carry is illegal in Illinois, only concealed carry is allowed. But then my wife said I would be wasting my time and oxygen. She’s right, you know. Just wondered if anyone else had seen these signs anywhere else in the state. Like I said earlier, it’s probably just the local management team following corporate directives, issued by know nothings who do nothing.
  6. Guess what, folks? Mine came today, along with my new foid card!!!!!!!! My timeline was thus: applied with prints 4 August 16, active 9-21-16, in my grubby paws 9-30-16. Congrats to all my Illinois carry friends who received theirs the past couple of days, the old printer in Spfld. must have had a workout printing all our licenses and foid cards. Hopefully the system gets more streamlined for all the folks in review, board review, and wherever else they are keeping them. I will continue to read this forum to try to soak up as much knowledge as I can.

  8. Same for me here. Not only is the mail from Spfld. slow, but my local post office is S-L-O-W-E-R than molasses in January in the Arctic , and that's only if they don't deliver my mail to someone else's residence, which happens a lot. I'm sure I will get it by sometime in November...☹️
