  1. That seems to be the best guess according to one forum I read, particularly because of the long ejector. No surprise then that her Jennings/Jiminez "...was inoperable at the time of the protest and still is." https://abc7chicago.com/society/police-execute-search-warrant-at-home-of-gun-toting-couple/6313037/?fbclid=IwAR2rpcLLePHBYx8ucd5zZCrvaCTt9oXlAv-5wTd0FduUZ8Kg0scTlNsftZk
  2. “The judge in White County said the FOID card is unconstitutional in the home,” Pearson said. “So that’s where we stand today and the state of Illinois doesn’t agree to that.” and “Are you prohibited from having a FOID card? The judge said ‘I don’t think so,’ ” Pearson said. “She didn’t do a thing wrong except wanting to defend her own life.” From the 6/12/19 Cherokee Tribune and Ledger News http:// https://www.tribuneledgernews.com/extra/news/illinois-supreme-court-to-hear-gun-owner-identification-law-challenge/article_fad30f20-7ee0-56a1-81ec-15fa648717a6.html
  3. It won’t turn us into the Wild West, it will just make Illinois like any other state in the union that does not require the card. Like with concealed carry, the Illinois politicians are so arrogant that they think they are wiser than the politicians in every other state.
  4. I am also taking a wait-and-see attitude, but with my fingers crossed. There have been some incendiary accusations flying around (and some deleted posts) so I am hoping things settle down and make sense soon. I had no idea there was so much animosity between the various pro-2A groups in Illinois until I joined a few last week. I have given money to many of the Illinois groups, but I am not giving a dime to any group that does not have a real name and face attached to it.
  5. You can rest assured that if the issue was sanctuary for undocumented immigrants or MJ, they would be all for it.
  6. Think so. It is the ISRA and SAF. One is never enough! ;-) http://www.isra.org/News/TabId/1068/ArtMID/4612/ArticleID/28707/ISRA-ALERT-April-5-2018.aspx ISRA ALERT - April 5, 2018 4/5/2018 The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) and Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) have filed a lawsuit against the Village of Deerfield this morning, April 5, 2018. This legal action is a challenge to the Defendants Ordinance O-18-06, passed on April 2, 2018, which bans assault weapons (used specifically as that term is defined in O-18-06) within the Defendants municipal limits. The suit was filed In the Circuit Court of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Lake County, Illinois, Chancery Division. To make a contribution to the Illinois State Rifle Association Legal Assistance Committee, please donate here. Please join the ISRA NOW! The link to donate to the ISRA's Legal Assistance Committee didn't get transferred to you post and there was a bad URL in some of their recent alerts, so here is the link to donate. I just donated $25 and will probably end up donating more.
