  1. My advice? Don’t tell them. They’re obviously not paying attention and will probably register then. Just like the Covid shots, the more numbers they get from afraid people (like ones who were gonna lose their jobs so they submitted) the more the resistors get targeted. I get spiteful now over people who roll over to tyrannical laws. Would they register there religious affiliation with the state if the state was specifically targeting a certain denomination? Better after the fact when the registry closes, then they have skin in the game. At that point, they can get them out of state to store them. Further, Pritzker admin leaks indicate they’re gonna “close the ownership loophole” and go after people who registered. Why even bother, unless you want a letter/visit from the ISP stating gotta hand them over
  2. They will come out in favor of the ban (maybe not the orthodox and conservatives). I hope I’m wrong though
  3. From one of the attorneys on the case https://x.com/moroskostas/status/1717299826700976545?s=46&t=ZJIYNr-TwO9eZdQE_UykAg ATTENTION ILLINOIS RESIDENTS: We've heard your concerns about the looming registration deadline. The cavalry is coming. We will be filing a motion for leave to amend our complaint momentarily. Despite there being no 7th Circuit ruling yet, and despite the fact that regardless of who prevails there, the ruling will be appealed (either to SCOTUS, or en banc), Illinois insists on moving forward with its January 1st registration deadline. Thus, we are forced to amend our complaint to challenge registration specifically. We argue that registration is unconstitutional because it violates the Second Amendment. There is no historical tradition of registering common firearms. This specific registration requirement is also unconstitutional on due process grounds because it is vague for a myriad of reasons the amended complaint discusses. Further, there is insufficient notice. The law passed at the beginning of the year, but we only got the Illinois State Police rules implementing registration in mid-September. Those rules failed to clarify the vagueness issues in the underlying law. Many people in Illinois probably don't know about the registration requirement, or if they are aware of it, they may not know that what must be registered isn't limited to complete firearms. The law applies to various parts, and even individual .50 BMG cartridges. This confusion may be part of the reason exceedingly few people have registered thus far, in addition to others not complying on principle. If the court grants leave to amend, and we expect it will, we will bring a new motion for preliminary injunction to Judge McGlynn. Our hope is to have the Court either declare registration unconstitutional and enjoin it, or to at least order the deadline delayed for now until litigation on the core ban is complete. amended complaint https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PES1BoJcTXaGhKJjYEUs46aUhdJI9CV6/view
  4. At this rate, if it even reaches 3% on compliance by 12/31/23 I’ll be shocked.
  5. Ok, disregard the money not being disclosed. It’s hidden, but it’s there. Still doesn’t excuse Durbin from waging war on conservative justices while One her bankrolled through his federal PAC was doing more blatant conflicts of interest
  6. Ok Rochford claimed it in her quarterly report. Weird that it’s not showing up otherwise
  7. Here’s Rochford’s cash flow in during that time period. She didn’t disclose it either
  8. Hmmm. On a brief search it doesn’t appear that Durbin’s PAC donation is appearing as a contribution in the state system 🤔 Durbin’s PAC gave the $5k on 10/17/22, yet it is not showing up…
  9. In case you didn’t know the significance of this, Durbin is the one in the senate spearheading “ethics reforms” to target Justice Thomas and Alito. Why did he use his federal PAC to give money to a state level judge? Why hasn’t he commented on the entire scandal here in IL regarding refusals and judicial ethics? https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/press/dem/releases/durbin-joins-colleagues-in-reintroducing-bicameral-bill-requiring-supreme-court-justices-to-follow-code-of-ethics
  10. Oh that’s lovely, Dick Durbin’s PAC bankrolled Rochford too. A DC based federal PAC mingling in local elections….
  11. Sent him a long email starting from the beginning and ending at where Rochford spoke at the event (continuing her disregard for the ethics code)
  12. The reality is no one other than Greg Bishop/Center Square covered this misconduct. It’s as blatant as it gets. And now that we have the JIB just dismissing it, groups should be shouting this from the rooftops, as it’s corruption. Then maybe other outlets will pick it up. If we all just let this go away with no fight, it just proves we roll over, something the antis never really do because they are 100% devoted to winning at all costs …. The deciding vote and who authored the opinion, was bankrolled by the defendants and Everytown/MDA, lobbied with MDA after being sworn in for the very law she refused to recuse from when before her. Come on, folks. This would be national news if the sides were reversed and you know this ruling would be challenged on all fronts, but here we are, doing nothing and accepting that our state is completely corrupted and not taking it another route to which we could end this and get relief
  13. Caulkins or Stocks needs to be the ones to file a complaint with the more recent stuff, as it’s their case. They won’t though it seems, so who knows. It’s very disheartening that people who can do something about this are silent/let it go. If this was Holder-White going to an ISRA rally to promote the repeal of the law or something, we all know it would be front page news on every major outlet and that she would be reprimanded. I guess Democrat judges who are bankrolled by government officials and lobbying groups like MDA are untouchable
  14. Guess it’s ok for justices to lobby for laws with MDA and rule on them to benefit the org….
  15. And our case here (Caulkins) has that option, but nooooooooo. All that work handed to them on a silver platter and nothing lol
