  1. Just sent in mine now. Sorry it took so long. This place has been so helpful for me and especially Molly through all my dilemma which she knows about and brought peace to an otherwise unknown situation. Thank you to all the members here who have added comments and answers to my questions. Stay safe all and carry on.
  2. Sorry all but I'm first time issued. Valid only for 3 years. Issued 8/30/18 expires 11/15/21 Again not sure if the 14 months I was delayed has anything to do with the expiration of 3 years.
  3. I’m pretty sure a lost/stolen card or change of address will have a new issued date with the same expiration. It does not extend it another 5 years. CCLs are good for 5 years from the initial issued date. yep, thats what I was thinking. Same with FOIDs Otherwise, there would people reporting a lost card a few months before it expired and get another 5 years for the cost of replacement. Repeat in 5 years, and again and again. Sorry all but I'm first time issued. Valid only for 3 years. Issued 8/30/18 expires 11/15/21 Again not sure if the 14 months I was delayed has anything to do with the expiration of 3 years.
  4. My ccl card says issued November 2018. Expires November 2021
  5. 5 years?? I got my ccl in 2018 and it expires this November. I waited 14 months from application to card in hand. I had 2 arrests in the mid 90s that were subsequently dropped but that was the reason for the delay. Will I run into same wait time this time around during renewal?? Fyi, im.lucky to hav3 taken a screens shot of my login credentials from 2018. I was able to login and both foid and ccl expiration dates say " covid "
  6. I use and am happy with holsters from concealment express
  7. Exactly how I feel. I watch on the news and hear people saying " why does anyone need an AR?" In my case as I said before it was something I wanted and I have the right to buy it so why not?
  8. I bought an AR-15 not long ago and it was because it was something I " wanted " and not so much needed. Been sitting in my safe ever since I bought it but I wanted it and got it. I'm hoping this year I can take it to an outdoor range and try it out.
  9. From what I understand in that link, I don't see how they deem you to be a clear and present danger to yourself or anyone without having a dr diagnose you to be one by checking in and quickly checking out.
  10. http://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=69194 Just found this link online. Not sure if it still applies but it's worth looking into. I think you'd fall in the FAQ #4
  11. my dad lost his foid card and I requested a new one for him 11/29/2016. still says under review and " submitted " in the inspect element. meanwhile, I submitted new application for my brother same day and he already is active.
  12. the letter never stated why. just that the board reviewed the objection and decided I was cool enough to allow a ccl . lol Molly B. , is there a way to find out who objected and why? or should I just leave it alone?
