  1. Always been curious as to these rulings and the Illinois FOID card and any CCL-

"No state may convert a secured liberty into a privilege, and issue a license and fee for it." MURDOCK v. PENNSYLVANIA, 319 U.S. 105 and "If the state does convert a right into a privilege and issue a license and charge a fee for it, you can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right with impunity." SHUTTLESWORTH V. BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, 373 U.S. 262

  2. Police warn of armed robberies at bus stops in South Shore

CHICAGO (STMW) - At least two people were robbed at gunpoint at CTA bus stops in the South Shore neighborhood last month.

In both incidents, one to three males walked up to a victim waiting at a bus stop, pulled out a firearm, and demanded property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Both robberies happened Dec. 28, one at 5:12 a.m. in the 2000 block of East 79th Street; and the other about 12:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of East 79th Street, police said.

The robbers are described only as young males. Anyone with information should call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8273.

Any places supported through taxpayer money should be clear of signs. Period.

Wasn't there a case here in Illinois that dealt with a ban in public housing......Winbigler?

Wouldn't the same apply to parks being publicly owned just like public housing?

Seems to me with Shepard and Heller, it was ruled that we have the right to carry for the purpose of self defense in public. If it is taxpayer funded... to me its public.

    just my opinion,

    Stay Safe and Carry Responsibly
