  1. Pretty much same with the ammo tax -- assumed unconstitutional at the time -- yet here we still are.
  2. "nothing more than argument advanced by a political slogan" That about sums up most of politics, sadly.
  3. Just a simple: 'Shall not infringe' would do me. (And strict: text, history, and tradition). That would make for a good New Year!
  4. The entire situation is typical of where 2A rights sit right now. Yes, you can have an automatic but 'they' restrict interstate (read: cheap on-line sources) sales. And no local preemption. And no universal recognition (although I note I can carry all the way to the Smokies!). We have to fight for every little piece --- and then watch out 'cause 'they' are always trying to . . . . Almost sounds paranoid doesn't it?
  5. I am going to fess up. I have found that a good spring assist is every bit as fast as an automatic and opens one handed. I have on a couple of occasions used an OTF as an EDC utility and managed to cut myself because you have to get used to no guards and double edges (I got those edges sharper than I thought!). Mostly they make good toys and are fun; will just have to wait for some local store to get some cheap little Italian Switchblades in stock for play. GAT has some autos in stock FWIW. YMMV
  6. Per an on-line vendor (BladeHQ): "Hello, Thanks for your email. As long as it is legal for you to receive the knife we can ship it to you. For you area we do require verification of your active duty military or law enforcement status. You can do this by sending us a picture of your law enforcement ID or sending us an email from your .mil email address. You can verify any of your local legalities by speaking with a legal advisor or a member of law enforcement. If you have any further questions please let me know. Thanks again, Eric L Customer Service Agent Warranty Specialist" So I would guess they are following their existing shipping restrictions.

  8. Sorry -- I am still a tad confused on the SHIPPING end of things from internet stores. The two I have checked require the federal exception certification. Is this going to be a problem?
