NRA Personal Protection Inside the home

There will be an NRA personal protection inside the home at Dewitt Country Sportsman Club on April 15, 2017

This course will start at 8:00 am it will cover things to consider for home safety, safe room, cover concealment, defensive marksmanship, engaging around cover.

The cost of the class is $125.00, this does count as the first "8" hours toward an Illinois Concealed Carry license.

NRA Personal Protection In the Home Class Saturday, July 2, Marion, IL

I am having an NRA Personal Protection In the Home Class on Saturday, July 2, from 8:00 AM until 5:30 PM (at earliest). The classroom portion will be at Samson's Secret Salon Annex at 214 E. Boulevard St. in Marion, IL. The range portion will be at Tombstone Gun Range and Training Center at 12121 Skyline Dr. in Marion. Cost is $125.00. You need a home defense pistol (revolver or semi-auto) in safe working order and will need about 200 rds of factory target ammo. Of course, hearing and eye protection is needed. Prerequisite is NRA Basic Pistol or equivalent.

COMBATIVE HANDGUN is a comprehensive combative handgun course for the serious students of personal protection. These no-nonsense course will give the novice shooter all the necessary information and stress resistant skills needed to win the fight of their lives and hone the veteran gun owners skills. From wearing your equipment correctly, grip and stance, how to quickly and effectively draw, getting your hits with practical combat accuracy using reflexive fire, to learning the most likely needed reload for a gunfight, preventing and clearing the most likely malfunction clearance you will run into, moving off the line of attack and safely to cover, shooting low/no light and much more.

Went to above seminar with my wife yesterday. Only $5, each (normally $30).

Outstanding! Four hours went fast. NRA Text Book topics: Psychology of Criminal Predators, Mental Preparedness, Physical Security, Home Security, Automobile Security, Out-of-Town Travel Security, Technological Security, Personal Protection Devices.

Excellent Instructor: Church Pastor, in his church (Lombard), who is also an NRA "instructor of Instructors." He said "sin is my business" and had plenty of experience with both crime predators and crime victims. During "Psychology of Criminal Predators," he made it clear, there are plenty of criminals who can't be saved and confirmed these characteristics: manipulative, viewing niceness as a weakness, constantly seeking criminal opportunities, overconfidence, demeaning their victims to increase their sense of self-worth, masking themselves with a façade of conformity (blend in with everybody else)

Personal protection in the Home

Cost $150.00

This will be the NRA personal protection in the home course which will cover home defense. During this course students will learn what to do if encouter a home invasion, the do's and don'ts associated with it, proper use of obstacles and much more. Upon succesfull completion will be given NRA personal protection in the home certificate.
